I put in a smallish dose, no leaks in the system but will be nice to know I have circulating protection. I read the reviews and saw some folks say this clogged their cooling system! The only way that could happen is if you don't read the instructions carefully. The "dosage" is 2-4 tabs per GALLON of coolant, not per quart!!For maintenance, I put in about a 1.7 tab per Gallon - I'm going on a long trip and feel this will stop or slow any surprises.

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic. He loves to have coolant issues with Chevy's cash-in innovation to remove the temperature gauge. Two thermostats and 70k miles later, his hoses were getting weak with a few rupturing. There was perpetual air somewhere in the system. In not even ten minutes or five cooling cycles, the problematic bubbling in the radiator tank stopped. I'm skeptical of these magic pill treatments to cars, but this product certainly plugged/optimized my cooling system to postpone a comprehensive hose change.Oh, and my cooling system is sensitive. It worked fine.

Replaces OOP (out of production) legacy Bar’s Leaks part number R6 and also part number C16. Same actve (Rhyzex) ingredient, in dry pellet form. I wanted to avoid p/n PLT-11, because i don’t want oil in my cooling system (water soluable, or otherwise) which could harm rubber hoses. GM, Ford, and Chrysler install J-100 in new vehicles during assembly. Counteracts acidification pH of engine coolant over time, thus preventing blown head gaskets. Lubricates water pump bearing, greatly extending its life (beyond 200,000 miles) if cooling system serviced with fresh anti-freeze every 30kMi with new coolant at 60/40 ratio with water.

I own a 2000 ford ranger with 122 K plus miles. My water pump was leaking extremely bad and I did not have the funds for a replacement. I was skeptical about the cost of the product, but it is worth every penny and more. Please note I have a capacity of 3.7 to 4 gallons for my truck type. The instructions state put 4 tablets initially for each gallon, but I advise against it. It is great so many large pellets are offered, but I used 4 as advised and affected the cooling of the vehicle. The concentration was too high, making the coolant brown and muddy. I simply drained the radiator, flushed with more coolant, and added 2 pellets for a total of 8 vs 16. ***Please note: I dissolved the pellets in hot water which poured and mixed better with the coolant.*** I let my truck idle for 30 minutes and then drove it. It has been 2 months. No leaks, overheating, and no loss of compression due to both. Excellent product. (The latest update is not good.) No more leaks, but the radiator is clogged as the pellets have formed a green goop that can't be drained away. I will probably have to purchase a new radiator in the future.

This product worked for me. 2014 Ram ecodiesel, had what i belive to have been a small pinhole leak from thermal expansion. These trucks are so expensive to work on and mine has a warrenty so i figured for time sake ill drop some tablets in, and it worked. Zero leaks for a few weeks now. Pretty happy. Overall i say under the right circumstances it will work.
