BASF Termidor Foam is a revolutionary termiticide/insecticide that delivers professional-grade results without requiring whole-house fumigation. Featuring the powerful active ingredient fipronil at 0.005%, this advanced formula expands at a 30:1 ratio to penetrate deep into wall voids, galleries, and insect harborages that liquid treatments can't reach. The unique dry foam formulation creates thicker, stronger cell walls that resist breaking and remain intact up to six times longer than competing products, ensuring thorough coverage and maximum effectiveness. Perfect for both preventative and curative treatments, this versatile 20 oz can works indoors and outdoors on structural and non-structural elements affected by wood-destroying insects. Simply apply directly to termite galleries, channels, damaged wood, or suspected harborages with no mixing required. The non-repellent formula ensures insects cannot detect its presence, allowing them to unknowingly transfer the active ingredient to others in the colony for comprehensive elimination. Ideal for targeted spot treatments of subterranean, dampwood, and drywood termites, carpenter ants, powder post beetles, and other destructive pests. Termidor Foam offers the same trusted effectiveness as liquid Termidor products in a convenient, ready-to-use aerosol format. For challenging infestations in hard-to-reach areas, trust the science-backed solution from BASF, the industry leader in professional pest control technology.

Although I haven't needed to use it yet, since my 3- year contract with Orkin has 10 more months to run, this can should be able to save me a few hundred per year after its expiration. I had "frass" outbreaks in my lower kitchen cabinets since the wood was infected with termites, decades ago, even before the cabinets were constructed, according to my Orkin experts. They use the same stuff. But their tool is a drill that bores a hole halfway through the wood that then spreads foam from the tip of the drill into the termites' mudhole.I bought a cheap drill for this and other diy projects. The durability of the foam is pretty much permanent since they haven't returned to the site of previous frass treatments. The only thing is: will I be able to get the foam inside the wood and into the mudhole without a drill-applicator?Orkin has found and treated 7 or 8 separate sites from previous frass sitings over the past 2.2 years, and the termites were speedily eliminated at every site. If used correctly, the foam will pop out of the wood at a nearby location since the termites spit out frass from more than one location. I've had kitchen cabinets and a wood refrigerator frame with 6 or 7 such eruptions emerging from one injection. The speed of effectiveness was always from immediately to a couple of hours. If it works when I try it myself, the value will be excellent since it will save hundreds.Wear gloves, since I've read this stuff may only be used by a licensed professional!!

Warning - don't do your own termite work unless you are handy, safe and have some idea of the habits of termites. This is what the pros use when they come to your house to spot treat for dry wood termites. NOTHING, other than tenting, can remove all dry wood termites - but they are quite slow at eating your home so CONTROL is the word in most cases. Usually Drywood termites are evident if looked for.....you can look that up. Once you locate their hole, you can enlarge it and push some of this foam in.....and also perhaps drill small homes and make sure you isolate and kill most of the colonies. That said, most homes with Drywood termites should be tented at minimum every decade to get back to zero. This is a control substance for spot treatment and definitely works.

This is a Good product. I have used it once before for some live activity in a door frame. Both times the product works just as instructed in the instructions. I didn't have any issues with it foaming up all over my hands like others have said. I did get foam pushing through cracks and spaces in between the wood areas I was treating. That showed me it is filling up the open areas in the walls exactly like you would want. The door frame I treated a few years ago still shown no sign if live activity that I can tell.

The other reviews stating the foam exploded out of the top of the can instead of through the hose had me worried to try this. Bought it in February and finally worked up the courage to use it. SO EASY to apply. I used a 1/4 drill bit to make three holes. Kept the can in the bag it came with to avoid any of the foam to touch my fingers, but no worries. Went straight through the hose and into the walls. Tip: leave the end of the hose in the wall for about 5 seconds after stopping so none of the foam will spill out. Then I sealed the holes, smoothed them over and done. Now I can only hope it works. I might get another can and spot treat other areas, but I got the two spots that have had visible activity.

THIS WORKS!!! I was such a skeptic when I ordered it!!!BY THIS WITH FASTER SHIPPING ON domyownpestcontrol.com.I live in Los Angeles, CA. Termites are a way of life here. However, when swarming season came around this year (September and October) we had a HUGE problem in our apartment that our landlord only gave us toxic shit from Home Depot that does NOTHING to actually stop the termites from coming into your apartment or house. He was not even about to tent, so we had to take matters into our own hands as he ALSO wouldn't hire an exterminator (because they'd probably tell him to tent the building). Well, after a lot of frustration and thinking we needed to move to not have this happen again next year, I found this AMAZING product. It took FOREVER to get to me - in fact, I'd deduct a star if I could BUT this is a review solely for the efficacy of this product. We had a TERRIBLE swarm in our apartment end of September. Like 150-200 termites crawling in through the wood floors, window sills, they'd eaten the baseboard, and there was a huge hole in the wood floor they had eaten. I'd see a baby termite fly in and out of the window sills over the last couple of years but never thought anything of it until those babies became adults and swarmed my entire living room. It was a nightmare! Nothing my landlord did fixed the problem - he replaced the baseboards, caulked the window sills, sprayed crap from Home Depot into some parts but hey guess what, genius, they make new holes and to come through! We had taped 2 windows completely shut just so they'd stop flying through them. Basically every time the temp got over 80 degrees was when more termites would come out. In fact, they were flying out of the outside of the building and into our windows it was so bad. We were so fed up we were going to move when I thought I'd give it one more shot - and I bought this stuff. So fast forward a month, of course we were still dealing w this problem. Basically, the Saturday before a huge, HUGE heat wave hitting LA, we put this stuff in the wall where they seemed to be the worst between each stud (above and below the windows), between each stud in the ceilings, and between the joists in the wood floor. We didn't have a clue as to how well it would work but we knew the reviews of this stuff were so stellar that we'd at least be able to have hope this time around.Saturday: 85 F, administered treatmentSunday: 87 F, no termitesMonday: 95 F, 1 termite, one set of wingsTuesday: 96 F, no termitesWednesday: 93 F, no termitesYOU GUYS - THIS IS HUGE! This stuff is everything and really works! It worked within like 48 hours. We're officially free of termites as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to keep my eye on the area for the next couple of months but am basically going to tell my landlord to ditch the Home Depot products and to adopt this. You don't have to tent a building anymore (as I read a bunch of reviews from people that had to turn to this product AFTER getting their home tented and it not working). You just have to kill them where they live and THIS does that. It's fantastic!!!!10/10 would buy again!
