The picture shows a BASO board, so that’s why I ordered them as I have installed several of them, what I received are cheap knockoffs of the BASO. Not impressed I would not recommend.

Easy to install, works great. The old original was completely different unit but the pigtails, cabling, instructions made installing easy and the furnace running like new again.

This control board was fairly easy to install. Being smaller than the original, had to add a new hole to mount. Use hand tool to do the final tightening to avoid cracking the board. Both the spark plug wire and the flame sense wire need to be adapted with the included spade terminals. Trimmed end of the orange insulation to a smaller diameter to fit inside the terminal. Most important, it works!!

Worked immediately upon install. This unit requires replacing terminals for both the sensor and spark plug, crimping on the new (supplied) terminals. Other than that, it is bolt-up install.I tested and replaced the Flame Sensor, which was reading only 0.2 microAmps, which may have been the cause of failure for the original (30 year old) control unit. New flame sensor (AUBURN E5-I-10-25/E5I1025 - you have to trim the probe, but it is not a challenge) brought up the reading to 5.1 microAmps, but the furnace was still INTERMITTENT, working only in the morning. Bypassing the pressure differential switch and limit switches made no difference (there was no blockage in exhaust or intake vents), so the control unit was the last possible cause for my intermittently running unit.I highly recommend downloading the Lennox Service Manual for BOTH the GSR14 and G14 (they are slightly different - each one has some info lacking in the other manual) to troubleshoot these units. There should be similar ones for the G21 units. My troubleshooting was helped by the "greyfurnaceman" videos on troubleshooting Pulse units - there are about 4 such videos. This was the best price and delivery I could find on the internet for a new control unit.

This part worked perfectly with my Lennox Pulse G14Q4-80-2.Prior to changing the ignition board, the furnace would come on sometimes and at other times it would time out trying to start-up. The inducer motor would spin up and then the furnace would try to start up, fail, and try again, until it timed out after a total of 3 times. Using a voltmeter I verified that the gas valve was never getting activated. So I replaced the ignition board. It took about 15 minutes to do. Very easy. Now the furnace is working great. The technician from the local HVAC company did not even try to diagnose the problem and was trying to convince me that I needed a new furnace. This part saved me thousands of dollars. Well worth it.
