My son really likes ABC bob the train on you tube and I thought it would be a good purchase but unfortunately it doesn’t have all the compartments it just has 4 and doesn’t make it a full ABC train which was a disappointment for my 3year old

This is an awesome toy for education for preschool age. Both my 2 year old and 5 year old love it. There are many activities you can do with the letters and cards. Definitely recommend.

I’m a big fan of this learning toy! I love that it is made of wood, comes with the little “pen” to trace the letters, has flash cards, and a train. I got this on super sale for around $10 and I feel like that was such a steal for such a good quality learning toy. My four year old loves it and I know it will be durable enough for my 6 month old to use when he’s a bit older. Definitely recommended for any other homeschool mamas out there.

Works great for teaching letters and sounding out words! Pieces fit in nicely! Looks super cute. My only one negative is that a couple of times the paint has come off. Not a lot and still looks fine. Love using this in my preschool class!

This toy can serve two purposes. 1) So many learning activities that can be facilitated by an adult. There is a pamphlet included that gives ideas of how you can play with the letters and teach your child. 2) Open ended play by the child. My kids play with the train and different pieces like they're characters (each letter has a picture on the back to match the sound). It would work great from someone learning the letter sounds to someone who can spell basic words. The letter tiles (52 of them) sit inside the train. Each train car comes apart. The child can trace their finger along the letter indentations, and there's also a pencil-shaped piece of wood they can trace with. (Mimics writing, but doesn't actually write.)The packaging was nice. Different componants were wrapped together in tissue paper. However, for storage, I found it easier to dump all the pieces in a bin instead of trying to get them back in their place in the box. Easier for kids to play with-- just grab pieces out and put back in.

My family has greatly enjoyed Battat toys and when I saw the ABC railway set, I had to give it a try. The initial “wow” factor wasn’t seen by my children looking at the box the WOW was verbally heard as my daughter dove into the red and blue tiles looking for her favorite animals. This box is filled with potential fun and learning for my two kids. This has huge long term learning-engagement and fun. This was a 5/5 win and I will be giving this as a gift to friends!Pros:- Fantastic design!- High quality pieces, blocks, and educational options - construction quality is excellent.- Fantastic packaging - Battat generally has excellent packaging but this one raised the bar again. (The use of tissue paper wrapped cards and train cars gave this a high-end feel. This genuinely and pleasantly surprised me!- Box layout is well-thought and useful for easy storage - the layout actually encourages children to put things away in order by color.- Animal choice is FUN and the artwork is vibrant.- the “fake” pen was an instant win for my 3-year-old. Tracing is their favorite part.- the train and train car setup needs a bit of breaking in but was my 1.5-year-old’s favorite part.- super cute artwork- nice glossy finish on cards makes cleaning easyCons:- I’ve never in my life heard of a Quokka. Perhaps Q for Quail might have been easier?I have to add that grandpa & grandma are both retired school-teachers of >18 years and they both LOVED this!5/5 must have for my family, will be gift for friends, and you should consider this for yourself!*This gets my seal of excellence!
