Amazon AND Beck Arnley's web site said Center Support Assembly 101-3784 would fit my 1983 Toyota Celica Supra (No, these aren't two different cars. Celica and Supra were same model in 1983). The part DOES NOT fit. Yes, it looks very similar, but the mounting flanges are not the same size as Toyota's original design. There are two problems;1) The flanges are about 1/16" or 1/8" too wide on each side. It will only fit into place if you force it with a hammer. The flanges hit the "tunnel" area of the car. When forced into place the center support sat about 10 degrees off center from the driveshaft centerline. If you attempted to mount this way premature failure will result. And of course you should never have to force a critical part like this into place.2) The slotted area in the flange on each side, where the mounting bolt is supposed to go, does not line up with the bolt holes on the car. The slots were about 3/16" to 1/4" farther apart (on each side) then where the bolt hole was on the car. The bolt hole was only about 25% visible when looking through the flange on each side.I HAD to use the part because I HAD to get this car back on the road. I did not have time to return the part. I am NOT happy that I had to do the following to make it work.As for issue #1 mentioned above, I had to cut approx 1/8" off the end of each flange. I used a hacksaw to do this. It would then fit in place. For issue #2 I held the center support in place and marked where the bolt holes should be. I then used Carbide steel grinding bit to enlarge the slotted are to allow the mounting bolt to find it's place. I then added a larger, heavy duty washer to ensure the center support stays in place.NOTE: Be sure to mount the center support on the driveshaft PRIOR to performing the modifications motioned. It is important that the driveshaft run straight and true through the center support, else premature failure will result. By mounting the center support to the driveshaft you can get much better placement than attempting to "eye" it into place. You could also use a small square to ensure the support is 90 degrees to the driveshaft. The center support seems to be built well and be of good quality. It just doesn't fit, at all.
