現行世代のGateで使用されているVトリガーを、旧世代アナログのSトリガーに変換するために必要です。CVはそのまま（1オクターブ1ボルト）使用できますが。その逆（SトリガーをVトリガーに）もあるので、Vトリガーのディレイを作ることもできます。MIDIからCV＋Gateを取り出すモジュールや960シーケンシャルコントローラと、911エンベロープジェネレータを繋ぐには必須です。
