I got this for my litter bags. I live in So. FL and my garbage can get super stinky in the hot sun. Occasionally the poop bag gets left at the bottom and then it's extra stinky. I was thinking a diaper pail would be great to keep the dirty litter bags until garbage day. I set it up, which took a bit because it wasn't very clear how to do it from the instructions. It actually is much taller because there is a second piece inside that you snap together to make it taller. You do have to squeeze it all around in order to get the pieces to fit together. The bags were set up already so I just put in the garage and started using it. The first few days I deposited a bag, then twisted it so it was trapped by itself and lowered the lid. When it was garbage day I opened the top and pulled out the bag and the bags all shifted to the bottom of the big bag. This seemed like a huge waste. So the next batch, I untwisted the top to expose the opening, placed my dirty bag and then twisted again to keep the smell down. This worked out perfectly because it still kept the stink under control without wasting so much of the larger bag. The only question I have is where to get the refills. It didn't say anything on amazon's page about refills. I may actually try it with a regular garbage bag if I can't find the refills.

This diaper pail came in pieces and had zero instructions. It was very hard to put the two pieces together to create the pail. My husband actually gave up and was going to send it back, but I was able to get it together after working with it for about 10 minutes. I did almost injure myself a couple of times because the edges of the plastic are a little sharp. The pail does a good of holding in the smell until you open the lid. Also, if you twist the pail too many times after inserting the diaper, you waste a lot of the bag so definitely be careful to twist it just enough to seal away the diaper. I had no issues using the cutter on the underside of the lid to cut the full bag and knot the new one. My 15 month old discovered that the pail is light enough for him to knock it over and carry it off so unfortunately, the pail is never where it's supposed to be when I need it. It's much shorter than the diaper pail we're used to using, but so far I've not found myself changing it any more often than I'm used to.

3/25/2025: Bellababy Diaper Pail, Upgrade Baby Diaper Bin with Double Odor Locking, Includes 1 Refill (6.8m), Compact Design for NurseryThis diaper pail is the perfect way to dispose of my dog's used pee-pads without them stinking up the house when I'm too tired to take them to the outside garbage can. (I didn't want a dog who peed inside at all, but this one is very stubborn! I'd rather he pee on pee pads than on my furniture.)I usually don't notice that the pee-pads have been used until I smell them as I'm getting ready for bed, at which point I just can't go outside to throw them away. I have just been putting them in plastic bags and leaving them on the bathroom floor until I can get to the outside garbage cans, but it's really hard to find plastic bags that are big enough and also have no holes and can close securely enough to keep the smell from getting out. I really don't like the smell of used pee pads, but so far with this diaper pail I haven't had to smell them at all.It works by twisting the bag refill which then twists the bags closed. It's like one continuous bag that you keep twisting, rather than individual bags, which would make emptying it a little difficult. If the bin fills up before you run out of bags, you'll have to actually cut the continuous bag to make space again. Then you'll need to tie the bag to keep using it. This isn't a big deal, just something I thought was worth noting.I also can't be sure that the smell will stay completely contained as I add more and more pee-pads, as I've only had to add 3 so far. If it does start to smell before it's full I will have to empty it more often, but so far I'm not smelling anything!Mine came with the bag refill already installed. I'm not sure if they're supposed to come that way as there are prominent instructions for how to install the bags. I found the instructions kind of confusing at first glance, but since the bags were already installed I didn't have to read them that thoroughly. I have no idea how easy it will be to get refills once these run out, but if it's not too difficult or expensive I would definitely want to keep buying bags for this.

This was AWFUL to put together. I am trying to be generous and give it 2 stars. The instructions DO NOT let you know there are two pieces to the bottom portion, one inside the other. But when you take it out of the box it is only 10" when it should be 17" tall. And when trying to figure it out, looking at the instructions, you can't. So you start fooling around with the container hoping you don't break it while finally figuring out they are nested together. And putting them together is AWFUL. Absolutely AWFUL. I have a HUGE blood blister on my finger because it was caught in between, while my husband and I had to struggle to put it together with both of us at the same time! No instructions on how to do it.I do not recommend this. I don't care how small of a footprint it has, or how well it works. No new mother wants to deal with this hack job.

This does a good job in keeping the smell out.It puts each diaper in a separate pocket which isolates the smell. It certainly has a unique design. However, the downside is that it does not fit a lot of diapers.secondly, putting in the plastic bag is not as easy.I wish that it had a built in device to help you get the plastic bag.It is a hassle to look for a pair of scissors whenever I am throwing away the diapers and resetting the pail.
