Exactly as described, price is good, hooked right up to our dryer hose and have used it ever sense, adds extra heat to the house in the winter which is a huge plus for us!

But - check the parts before you start. You'll probably a need pipe piece which aids in making 90 degree turns, (i forgot the name). The top of the unit, flap, would not close even when the dryer was not turned on. I fixed it by sandpapering the plastic latches used in the flap. I then added a tine drop of grease. The flap closed enough so that no air excaped through it. The wall plugs used to hang the box - you;ll need four - were not all in the package (4 screws and 2 plugs). Purchased more plugs. Hung the unit and the unit all but fell of the wall. I them used bigger plugs and screws. Perfection. Ran two loads of drying through it after successful set up. Worker very, very well. The lint had to be cleaned out after each wash (I clean the dryer lint trap every time so this not a problem). The heat generated is not a problem but the humidity is, for me. I make sure the bathroom fan is on when clothes are being dried and all is super. I very much like the concept and am happy I installed a unit such as this.

We needed a way to use our dryer in our rental home since the external vent is broken and the landlord won't fix it. This vent was the quickest and best solution we found.It works as advertised and comes with six replacement filters. However, it does make the house very humid and hot. To manage this, we run a fan to push the air out through a window and open all doors and windows to minimize moisture. While this setup works, it feels like a temporary fix and there might be better solutions available. This isn't a long-term solution.

Our dryer was originally vented into our garage. Works great, easy to install and a great solution for us.

I just bought a new washer, and I knew when they came to install it, they would lecture me about not having a dryer vent. So, I searched online and found this. This is perfect for me. I live alone so there's not a ton of laundry. I read many of the reviews and a lot of people said they vacuum the filter when it starts getting really dusty/linty. I came up with an even better idea. When it starts telling me the filter is getting dirty, I walk out the front door with it and hit the green side of it on the bricks of my house. It not only gets the dirt and dust out of it but the bricks grab the lint that would otherwise need to be picked off. The filters aren't really cheap, but cheaper than having someone come and cut a hole through my ceiling and roof to vent that way.I highly recommend!

i had a bit of a time getting this connected but it wasn't a fault in the product rather the fact that i had to lay the dryer on it's face to connect the hose and then to the filter otherwise the product it's self was relatively simple to install although there is a "calibration" step that is a little bit of a pain but once past that the product is fully installed. and it does work very well, wish i'd bought one years ago instead of venting to the outside and having a major cold air leak into the house AND dust everywhere because the original vent hook up was botched. with this product in place all of that is more than corrected.
