Functionality is glitchy, they stop working while trying to have conversations making them useless. I find just using the translator on my phone to be easier.

For an unbelievably low price, this product seems to do exactly what it claims to do: produce translations from voice input to voice output on the fly, good enough to enable two people speaking different languages to communicate.In the box are a pair of over-the ear Bluetooth earphones and a pointer to an Android or iOS application. The earphones were designed as standard Bluetooth earphones without any special hardware, and the translations are mediated by your phone and by communication with an outside server.As a test I tried conversationally asking a German speaker if he was able to see something (i.e. the first verse of the Star Spangled Banner), and despite the archaic style I had to laugh out loud at the apparent accuracy of the output! I had to repeat myself a few times when it misheard a word, or rephrase part of a sentence ("the last gleaming of the twilight" vs. "the twilight's last gleaming), but that might happen with an average human interpreter. I got a particularly good laugh out of "Dämmerung"—who knew that we saw one of these every night and don't have to wait for the end of the gods?So it's technologically astounding. Significant demerits?(1) This is not my preferred style of earphones. My preference is in-the-ear pairs that don't threaten to fall out with every move of your head, or compete with your glasses for over-the-ear space.(2) I managed to accidentally mute the earphones twice (for all apps and not just for the translator). I wasn't able to find anything in the earphones' instruction sheet about this, and after restarting the application, Bluetooth and the earphones without result, I resorted to restarting the phone. This worked, but it's just a little cumbersome.(3) There are so many red flags surrounding data security here that I would never use this for more than casual amusement. Did I mention that your input is sent to a server under the control of a foreign adversary? No offense, but those are the simple facts of the matter.On a positive note, the earphones pair with your phone directly and not through the application, which means the app doesn't have to ask you for location access as a precondition to pair with them.

I’m please with this product. You don’t need to be to close with the other person. But the other person needed to give just enough time to catch up everything.Even though it looks like it was already used it has some scratches. Plus someone else had already downloaded some translators from the packages, I like it so far, I think my husband is going to use it with my family soon.
