They work great right out of the box. Super easy to hook up and use. The app is works great and is easy to use, there’s no complicated setup for it to work. They come with a remote as well if you don’t want to use the app.I like that they split up so I can use the short whips on trails and tight spots, then put the extensions on and ride out in the open and in my town.I also like that the bases have the wires made into them. The whips just hook up and go with one connection vs having to hook up a wiring harness like most of the others on the market.
