Slightly larger than what I am used to... but the fish do not mind. giving this to the bluegills in my pond. since the drought last fall, and the cold months, I have felt bad for the fish in the pond and developed a routine.. now they feel me walking towards them and they line up for a snack.This works fine. But what is best, is the price of this food.

My koi have packed the pounds on with this food. They took to it eagerly, and have been healthy and active.

The box came torn and someone tried to tape it but you can see it was badly damaged. The bag inside was also ripped open and they didn't tape it so the pellets were spilled all over the box. I didn't think it was shipped out that way and most likely got damaged during shipping. I notified the seller anyway to let them know. I didn't expect anything but they sent me a new bag anyway. I have purchased many different brands for my koi but I think I am going to stick with this one from now on. The fish eat them, the price is right, service is great and that's all matter.

This is the second time I've ordered this Koi food. I first ordered a bag over 1 1/2 years ago and just ordered my 2nd bag .My fish couldn't have been any happier. They can't wait till they see me for there feeding. Best food and Best price. They have better color also.

The fish really seem to like this food, and they seem to grow and flourish quite nicely. The reason I gave it a three is because from the time I started the bag till I ended it my pond water was incredibly cloudy.Not sure what they put in some foods that makes the water so cloudy.

I switched to this food from Microbe-Lift. This was mostly due to the fish being larger and eating more.When I first opened the bag, I thought the smell was awful. Months later, I still think the smell is awful. It is a lower quality than what I was feeding my koi before, but as far as nutritional content goes, it didn't seem like a huge drop-off.At first, my fish didn't really like this food. They would nibble on it a bit, but that was it. Normally they would churn the water eating. Over the course of a week or so, they took to this food, and eating habits returned to normal. They stayed perfectly healthy all summer and are now on the bottom of the pond for the winter. There was no drop off in the color of my koi. They stayed just as colorful on this food as on the microbe lift variety. It's a good buy if you need a good price on bulk food. Just give your fish a chance to take to it before you write it off as a bust.
