It 's not very easy to adjust on the bike frame. It came loose within a mile. The guide part fell off because the screw for the arm portion kept vibrating loose. I was on smooth pavement. The screw vibrated completely out and I lost it. I have a 1x8 set up and it rubbed the chain in most of the gears no matter how many times I tried to adjust. I think it would be great for a fixie, but not a multi-geared bike.

This chainguide works, but needs some modification to work with probably any thing 1x7 or greater (1x8, 1x9, etc).Construction wise it is ok and seems solid enough, but the clearance between the left and right "wings" is simply too small to allow for allow for movement from the highest to lowest gears without rubbing. The solution was to insert a shim between the wings, and this required a longer bolt-not really a big deal. The bottom line is that most people will probably look to something like this unit as a chainguide for something like a gravel bike, and it simply will not work correctly without modification.
