RF radiating from barn on the hill. Hope to link distant stations together.

Introducing this larger, 35cm antenna into my Meshtastic LoRa setup caused my signal strength to drop significantly compared to shorter and smaller antennas. Using a properly tuned 17cm whip antenna produced a significantly stronger signal. Using a 'cheap' foldable, hard plastic antenna at 17-19cm produced a somewhat stronger signal. So, over 2 comparable antennas at both short/long range, this underperformed--but it does at least capture Meshtastic/LoRa signals. Will be returning.

Tuned exactly to advertised frequencies, and the included brackets are strong! Using on a very tall pole for my stationary meshtastic node!Better than many other antennas!

Here is what I found out. First off, I'm unable to disconnect the coax connector from the bottom of the antenna. Aside from that, I connected the antenna to the Nano VNA Antenna analyzer. There seems to be an open connection because the SWR is off the chart, I connected my VNA to other antennas and I get reasonable SWR readings, except this one. I want to return mine, how do I do it?Has anyone else had this problem, or is it always me that winds up getting defective items. Does anyone even read these entries?John

Works great! The only reason I can guess that it's cheaper is that it is a female connector on the end. But no problem for me, because I built my own cable. Using this for a meshtastic node.

I will be using a much shorter cable or none at all on future builds. I get better signal with stubby antennas than I do with this thing using the supplied cable. Cable must have a ton of loss.

Using this on a stationary rooftop Meshtastic node and it's been working great. I would not recommend using the included length of cable, rather, just do a direct connection from the board to the antenna base via a pigtail. At ~900mhz you will lose a considerable amount if you use that long of a cable, just pitch it and be done with it.Using this on my base station, and a simple 2db SMA antenna on the client unit, we were able to make a 12 mile (tenuous) connection using Meshtastic. I verified we had positive line of sight ahead of time, so this would have been purely a function of antenna to antenna.I've installed two of these now, both on stationary Meshtastic base stations and I'm happy with the results. Would buy again...but seriously consider ditching the cable! The convenience factor is costing you on the performance side!

Using with my off grid LoRa system and easily went over a mile for a solid connection. Easy to mount and looks great. Sturdy antenna.
