What can I say, it keeps the birds and caterpillars out and other destructive pests. The size is great and you can either tie them to the trunk or around the plant pot.

I've been using these nets to cover outdoor milkweed plants in my yard that have monarch caterpillars on them. The nets help to keep wasps away that would normally pick off the caterpillars. When the caterpillars get to be the size where they'd cocoon, I put them inside a netted cage. When the butterflies hatch, I release them!! These nets have helped a lot with this process! Each net has a cord at the open end that allows you to cinch the net tight. None have ripped yet, and I use stakes to help form the net so not having any rip yet has been a plus; matertial feels solid/not cheap. Well-made and priced right.

Here in New Jersey {USA} I have several blueberry bushes . On some of the branches I noticed Spotted Lantern Fly's feeding.{ Lanternfly's which are a newly invasive species of insect from China which prefers fruit trees & bushes, and some other types of trees. They suck the sap out of them, and lay eggs on trees, and can eventually kill the trees/bushes.}So I removed the bugs then covered up my fruiting {but still green fruit} blueberry bushes with these. These net bags worked beautifully at protecting my bushes from the bugs and also from the the birds who love blueberry fruit.I love inviting birds to my yard but I also love eating blueberries. So I always share some of the ripe fruit with the birds. Now and then I put some blueberries, other fruit, and also seeds and pulp from things like cantaloupe and butternut squash out on a on a table near the bird bath, and the birds and squirrels love it, some of them practically say thankyou : } . They are not exactly neat eaters, but it is super easy to hose off the area with the garden hose after ' wildlife buffet days'.

I ordered these bags to cover my blueberries. The concept is great and they work well but my plants are too large for these bags. They would work well on young plants though.

Each netting bag is about 32 x 30 inches and I liked the two sets of bags so much that I ordered another two sets. They're strong and even caught a lizard who'd managed to work his way inside and was jumping around! I managed to free it and fastened it down better, but I thought it was very good that the bag didn't tear. I also have them over some baby pyracanthas and even their thorns haven't torn it. Occasional grasshoppers who have managed to squeeze their way in I've smushed from outside because they seem to love to rest up high where I can see them. Fortunately not many do get in through the bottom where the drawstring is holding the bag against the plant stem. Very pleased!

Wow, grasshoppers. who would have imagined they could do so much damage, Biblical plague takes on real meaning. I left one day came back a few later and every single green shoot or leaf was GONE. My fruit trees are naked? Baby fruit trees yearlings so... These nets are the best ones I got others that are stiff. The plants under them do not seem to be doing as well. I have leaves growing back on my netted fruit trees and plants in pots, net tight on pot. These look like they will save my little trees :)

I had no issues with my plants growing in these at all!The various plants I put then on (strawberry, cherry tomato, raspberry) grew very well. In fact, my cherry tomato plants went from small 12" single stem plants to completely filling the entire netting in about 2 months!!In addition, on an extremely windy day, I put one of these on my very young Lilac Bush. The netting was able to cut the wind just enough to protect the young growth!!I only have 2 potential problems with these:1. Since they are sewn as 2 flat squares, they don't sit well on a large, round plant. They may require some supports to hold them up with more delicate plants.2. For fruiting plants, there may be an issue with pollination. Self-pollinators can still be pollinated via wind, but plants that requires pollination from a separate plant will need assistance.
