The images in the listing show the non threaded holes to be larger than the threaded holes which would allow the 3/8 x 16 screws to pass through but in the blocks delivered they are SMALLER precluding using the screws to fasten the blocks together. The threaded holes are not perpendicular to the face of the blocks and do not properly match up from one block to the other. If a screw is run through one block into the other the faces of the blocks do not match up (leaves a gap at one end) nor do the edges of the blocks match up. Nice paperweights or pencil holders.

The more I use these, the more I like them. Having recently acquired a granite surface plate (certified to 2.4 micron max. deviation), I tested these blocks. Was amazed how true they are. If I touch them together, one will drag the other across the plate. An indication of trueness and flatness. And no they were not oily. Another test is the sound made when lightly “slapped” together. Passed this test also. Happy I got the coated version and don’t worry about rust.

good enough depending on what specs you need to hit. I measured mine and there only a few tenths out of spec is random spots

Don't waste your money. Though my micrometers showed these blocks are indeed within the tolerance they describe it is however broken in certain spots with dents and scratches all over. Than they expect you to ship them back because I have time to deal with that nonsense working 60 hours a week as a machinist this is a complete and utter annoyance. Not only that but it was sent in a envelope lol. For the love of all that is holy. Come on. An envelope to send heavy metal precision blocks. It's an embrassment.Update: coating comes right off. Placed it on a granite top to check its flatness and the coating came right off when slid across the surface plate to assure a good seat. No point in the coat what so ever.

They do the job for a good price, but are ugly, unlike what the pretty Amazon picture would make you believe. Color varies, and chamfer on the edges looks like it was done by hand on a belt sander.

I use these 1-2-3 blocks to set some of my machines for 90 degree accuracy. They are very accurate, more so than my squares. There are five threaded holes on each of the large sides so you can mount them for various applications.I opted for these tin coated ones for added corrosion protection in my high humidity environment. They arrived well soaked in oil. I spent some time cleaning them since I don't want oil on any of my wood working tool surfaces. I then applied Renaissance wax to them for corrosion protection and so they can slide better on the metal surfaces of my tools.So far they have performed well and I have not seen any corrosion on them.

These well priced 1-2-3 blocks (they come in a set) are a nice addition to any workshop. For those interested, they are manufactured in China.
