I put it on my Subaru I had skid plates on and I did not have to do anything it was easy.

The product itself appears strong. The problems: (1) terrible, unclear, incomplete instruction sheet that accompanies the bar; (2) non-existent company customer service (i.e., Black Horse Off Road). I have contacted - or I should say, I have attempted to contact them - numerous times through different means on their company website, because I cannot get the bar to fit my vehicle. After MONTHS of trying, I have quit; I will never purchase an item from Black Horse Off Road ever again. My money has been wasted, so don’t waste yours!
