Replace stock transfer case cable shifter linkage with a heavy duty cable took three hours but well worth the time wife likes it now that she can shift into neutral now product worth the extra money you pay for what you get

It's 90% fairly straight forward but that 10% is a real pain in the rear. My problem comes when removing the old bracket attached to the transfer case. I can get to the lower of the 2 nuts but can't for the life of me figure out how they got to the upper one. You can't see it, I can only feel it when I reach up and over the transmission from the passenger side & even then, I don't know how they managed to get tools on it. I called B&M/Holley, they read what was written in the instructions & said that was all they could help with. Still working on this while daily driving it.

It was installed on a 2011 JK with an automatic transmission. The quality of the cable and parts in the kit is exceptional, what I would expect for this price point, and from a company that is known for quality shifters. It's a simple but laborious installation, and the result is a shifter that feels connected with a linkage instead of a bicycle shifter cable. Instructions are fairly clear except for the lower bracket which bolts to the transfer case. The B&M looks nothing like the original Mopar bracket and does not bolt on in the same location, it is installed on the transfer case where the transfer case studs bolt to the transmission, the picture in the instructions is poor quality and the wording is kind of unclear. I removed the front drive shaft and the transfer case skid plate, this opened up the area and made assembly much easier.
