Quit trying to keep track of all the extra keys for the locks on your trailer and hitch. This lock will use your vehicle key. Just remember to commit when setting your lock to your vehicle key. Insert the key the whole way and rotate clockwise. [at least that was the instructions for mine] don’t stop halfway through and try to continue, that’s what I mean by commit. They work great. Select the right lock for your key. Make sure that the description for the lock matches the type of key that you have. For example, the Ford key should be a side cut or a center cut key. Look at your key, and if it has a squiggly line, running down the middle and smooth the edges that is a center cut key. Mine has grooves on both sides in the center of the key. I have a 2024 F250 and this lock was listed for a center cut Lincoln/Ford 2023. My 2024 key works great in it. The website has a place where you can enter you vehicle / year and it will verify the correct key. Copy the model number for the key and you can check it against the number on Amazon. Got mine in 3 days. I would absolutely purchase this lock again. I have bought them for the padlocks on my trailer, my hitch, and the lock on the tongue of my trailer. Now I just need my one truck key instead of 6 keys

This is supposed to be for a new model Ford with side cut key. Doesn't work at all like my other Bolt locks.

I have the hitch lock and now the trailer lock, it is really nice to have one key for everything.Works great!
