The one I got has no wiggle in the head. It is better than my Harbor Freight hammers, as the head, while not the most seamless fit, does not have epoxy filling gaps to keep the head from getting loose. You can see this in the photo above, though I charred and tarred it, so it is a little hard to see. The handle in the pictures is the one that came on it. I just shaped it and sealed/conditioned it with a 1:1 mix of boiled linseed oil and pine tar; then I charred it. For around $16, it is good.

I have a tree farm with hundreds of wooden stakes holding up saplings. Invariably, the wind will blow some part way over and I need to pound them in a little deeper to straighten them out. This hammer lives in the back of my utility vehicle and is perfect for this task.

I'm a professional mechanic of 20 years. My shoulder doesn't like the 4lb sledge any more. This is a nice hammer and the handle feels great with one hand or both.
