Bought this for my wife's 2006 Mustang 6cyl. Car only has 21000 Miles on it. She wanted a more aggressive sound out of it. This did the trick and was very easy to install.

I’ve tried Borla and Flowmaster. Flowmaster was louder but was inferior to this muffler. Flowmaster had a rattle and was easily rusted. Borla has the perfect balance of rumble, not too quiet not too loud. The muffler uses 304 stainless steel that I believe will never rust. It’s lightweight and appears to be a straight through design. It breaths better than stock and I can notice a small increase in HP, nothing major. The clamp unfortunately was too large, luckily I had an extra in my garage that worked. As for drone, it has almost nothing. As far as axle back mufflers available for the 2005-2009 V6 mustangs, this one is probably the best you can buy. Flowmaster, if your reading this, stop making mufflers out of aluminized steel, those will start to rust after the first rain. Take a lesson from Borla and use actual stainless steel.

If you want something more than that stock sound but don't want to get a headache, then this is the product for you. It has a classy rough sound when you step on it. It's quiet when you want it to be and lets you know when gears are changing but there is zero drone! It looks really nice as well, compared to that dirty old muffler. Installation is pretty simple so you don't need to pay anyone to do it just give yourself a little time. Again, the sound is classy and gives your Stang a presence. I know some people prefer absolutely silent cars but the Stang was made to make a little noise at least. Do yourself a favor and kick that stock muffler to the curb and install beautiful Borla. She'll do wonders for you kid.
