Fits fine and corrects a problem where the Treg would crank but not start. Installation was a breeze.Removing the worn out original was a challenge. The connector is a blind mate behind the engine and can’t be seen directly. The original part had the wire tucked behind some coolant (I think) lines and was impossible to remove without cutting it or doing more disassembly than I was willing to take on. Fortunately, this replacements pigtail is longer and can be routed easily. Take care not to let it rest on the cat, or you’ll be getting another in short order.Start to finish, replacement took about 90 minutes. Mostly that was because I had trouble removing the driver’s side intake manifold air pipe and then fumbled with the old connector for about 45 minutes before the old brittle plastic finally broke apart in my hand.I’ve only driven about 15 miles since install, but these things are binary - they work or they don’t. This one works. And it was a lot cheaper than paying a shop to do it for me. Should be a direct replacement for any Audi/VW AXQ 4.2L V8 engine.
