I bought this 1-1/4 inch X 6-inch bit to replace a damaged one in my Bosch spade bit sets. It is a size that I use fairly often so gets a lot of use. The new bit is exactly like the old one and is working great for drilling through wood to run wire and cables. The price here on Amazon was decent so I'm very happy with the purchase.

Esta broca es un monstruo. Merece completamente el nombre que tiene de Daredevil (Endiablada o algo así). Tengan mucho cuidado, sobre todo la primera vez que la usen, para que no los sorprenda. Es muy difícil de controlar y se va de largo solita a través de la madera. La punta se enrosca fácilmente, arrastrando a la broca con el taladro hacia el interior de la madera sin mucho esfuerzo, mientras las cuchillas van cortando como si la madera fuera de mantequilla. No es necesario hacer nada de presión con el taladro si este tiene buen torque, aunque dudo que funcione con uno eléctrico que no tenga mucho poder, necesitarán uno de por lo menos 18V. Sale de forma bastante brusca del otro lado, astillando un poco la madera, así que hay que tener cuidado. No es fácil de controlar, no la recomendaría para trabajos que requieran una perforación que no sea completa, o en los que se desee una perforación más limpia a la salida, sin que se astille la madera. Quise utilizarla para abrir unos agujeros a un bote de basura grande que quiero convertir en compostero y fue brutal. En un instante la punta entró en el plástico y las cuchillas lo astillaron. De que quedó un agujero, seguro, pero nada más lejano a un círculo. En el anuncio dice "Brocas Madera", pero debería decir "Brocas ÚNICAMENTE para madera", jaja. Es un monstruo.

I bought this at a big box store. It's terrible. The screw feed pulled the paddles in so fast (with zero pressure from me) into thin plywood, that it tore the wood to pieces and was bogging down the drill. This thing is an over engineered mess

Not like other spade bits.. You had better have a jig for whatever it is you are drilling.. these can mess things up quick if you don't have a good grip on things

Bosch makes very good spade bits. The "screw" driver end "bites" into the wood fast and clean. As a professional, the only disadvantage is if you hit a nail, the bit is "toast" because the nail (or any hard metal) breaks off the two end cutters; but this applies to any spade bit or just about any bit (auger or other).

Listing stated a 5 piece but set; but I only received one bit per set ordered. Contacted Amazon and they said the listing was wrong and nothing they could do. I returned them.I am sure they are as good as all the other Bosch Daredevil bits I've ordered, just to expensive for one bit.
