When ordering this tool I thought it would be like so many other sets. Namely the tap holder would be a lite use only item. To my surprise it is a heavy bilt tool. Will use it for more than just bottle plugs. Have bought several tap holders over the yr's and tossed most in the scrap pile after a few use's. The tap look's good and the drill may be iffy but for wood and acrylics it should be fine. Overall, I believe it will be a good deal.

Kit arrived a day ahead of schedule. However, using the tap makes the suggested 3/4 deep hole too sloppy to stay on mandrel after separating from the tail stock.This makes it quite wobbly and impossible to continue shaping and sanding.Would not buy this kit again.

Easy to use and works as promised. Only reason not a 5 star is that stainless steel stoppers would be better than chrome plated, IMO.

We gave homemade winestoppers for Christmas. What a hit! They were beautiful and elegant and one-of-a-kind. My husband turned them on his lathe and fit the wooden tops to the stoppers. The jigs fit perfectly. This set was so easy to use. The rubber rings fit snuggly in all of the bottles we tried them in. He may make more to sell as a side hobby, now, they turned out so well!
