Working good

Let's just start by stating that the good quality and detailed termination are not really there. The strap constantly loses its tightness, the ladder doesn't lock when closed (you need to have it strapped to move it around), the steps sometimes don't lock on both sides, and the ladder is so flimsy when fully extended that it is impossible to use safely. This is my honest review. I wanted to like this ladder and retire my old Gorilla, but it's not worth the risk of an accident. I don't recommend it.

Once I figured out how to get the balance bar in with a crowbar and hammer, it wasn’t too much harder to put together. It’s functional, but definitely pretty wobbly

As a fellow big back, the ladder supported my husbands weight and was sturdy while he was installing the cameras outside. Amazing functionality as we use it for major and minor projects in the house. We are able to store it in a small closet as well. Great for new home owners.

Even with the stabilizer bar (kit was missing a screw and had to buy one separately), it's just too wobbly when used in A type setting. De-extending it in A-type setting is a pain because being angled, the rung segments don't telescope freely back inside. You have to lay it on the side upright, then close the A, then work the 2 sides of rungs individually. It will fit in any closet or vehicle for the positive.

The design and quality are lacking, making it very unsafe to use

This product is extremely dangerous. It’s not well built at all, wobbles ridiculously when extended. Even in A-frame mode it has no rigidity. Also it only locks downwards. There’s nothing to prevent it from sliding up on one side when on it leaning forward especially with one side lowered like you would do on a staircase etc. This ladder is a serious accident waiting to happen. Just don’t buy this. I found 17ft little giants for 179.99 locally which feels extremely safe and well built. For about 20 more bucks it’s well worth it. This one I returned shouldn’t be allowed to be sold. It’s a very serious risk to be 16 ft in the air on something made so terrible. The hinge system that holds the middle section together is made very poorly with terrible machine work on a very low grade steel. Avoid this like the plague.
