The V1 kits have stood up to an enormous amount of abuse, but we decided to upgrade them to a pressed inner race comprised of 52100 Heat Treated Bearing Steel, over the more commonly used 8620 Carburized Steel found in our V1 kits and many OEM applications. Additionally, these feature a self oiling axle with priority feeding to the Trunnion itself.

Replaced the stock trunnions on my LS4, kit had everything needed including an extra snap ring and bearing incase you make a mistake which I did in the 1st one. Easy to install with the comp cams grubbing bearing tool. Quality product, Iām excited to get the motor in the car and rippin!

I installed this upgrade on my 2002 Silverado 5.3 with a TSP low lift cam. I am no longer concerned about the trunnion bearing coming out and killing my engine. I recommend this kit. Easy to install but takes a while since there are 16 rockers to convert. I only issue I had with this kit was that it was short 3 ea bearings. I tried to get the issue resolved through Amazon but the seller at the time was out of stock. SO I called Brian Tooley Racing directly and told them about the missing bearings. They said no problem and sent me the replacements ASAP no charge. First world problems. UPDATE- 29 November 2023, Engine running great with about 15,000 on the upgraded rockers and rebuild. Very well made kit, and great company to deal with. Had an issue with part of the order and they were very quick to make it right. Definity a worthwhile purchase and much better design than the cc trunions i took out.Attached are pictures of the wear on the "cc" trunions these replaced. All were this bad or worse.
