It's small and while it does work it's not all that powerful. Will clean jewelry but don't expect jeweler levels of cleaning power.

I wanted to love this cleaner, but I have some mixed feelings about it. While it has cleaned the items I've put in it, I've been able to clean them further with other products.. So, I'm not sure about how well it's actually working. However, it is cleaning them with just water so there has to be some merit in that alone. Perhaps with a little soap or cleaning solution it would work even better!I've only tried this with rings, necklaces, and bracelets. I haven't tried it with glasses because I was unsure if it would do anything to the coatings on my lenses. I haven't tried it with my watch either, but I think it would be okay on the bands and watches that are waterproof/meant to be worn under water and pressure.

I have used ultrasonic cleaners in the past to clean up jewelry and certain items so I am well versed in what works and what doesn't work. I will say that the commercial ultrasonic cleaner concentrates you can buy for jewelry do seem to yield better results than just hot water and a few drops of dish soap but I have an ace-in-the-hole trick -- just run multiple cycles. Pro tip - never put eyeglasses in these unless you do not care about the coating on the lense. Also, never put a watch in here! It will cause havoc to the movement. But you CAN take off the band and clean it here. Works well actually. This is a very portable unit that works very well for the money.

I've never used one of these before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a favorite pair of reading glasses that I've had for well over 5 years so those were the first to go in. It sounds a bit gross, but I was happy to see the grunge that floated up after cleaning (which takes less than 2 minutes). The lens, frame, hinges, etc. were thoroughly clean. Yay! I tried a few more things--some herb scissors, a "church key" type of can opener, some nail clippers, etc. All came out clean if not sparkling. I would have loved sparkling, but "clean" is certainly more than acceptable. This brings up a point. On the Amazon page for this item, the description includes the following "and it delivers even better results with cleaning agents". Yet in the manual, it does specify just water. Hmmm. I am tempted to buy and use some jewelry cleaning solution (the kind made for ultrasonic cleaners, of course!) and test it out. I mean...it couldn't hurt..could It? The scenario does bring out a bit of the mad scientist in me.All in all, I am fairly impressed by this little gadget and would probably buy another (maybe a bit bigger?) should the situation warrant it. It's quick and it's effective.

I was blown away with this ultrasonic cleaner! I was nervous to use it, but it couldn’t have been easier, I don’t know why I was nervous and thinking it would be complicated. I first put in my glasses with just water. I wipe/wash my glasses constantly with a spray and microfiber cloth, so I didn’t expect to see much with this cleaner, but boy was I wrong. When I put on my glasses after the cleaning it was like putting on new glasses and seeing the world for the first time. They were so clean and clear, I had no idea I was looking through cloudiness, smudges and specks of dirt all the time. After that experience I started cleaning my jewelry and pieces I thought were garbage, got cleaned and looked new! This little machine is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend to people who wear glasses, honestly, as soon as someone gets glasses they should get one of these cleaners with it! Just for cleaning the glasses alone this would be well worth it, but add in jewelry cleaning and I’m sure I’ll find more things to clean over time, this thing is amazingly worth it! I highly recommend, just be warned, you’ll be addicted to cleaning after you see it work it’s magic!

I had several jewerly that needed more than a rub with jewerly cleaning cloths so I got this ultrasonice cleaner. You do have to buy a specific solution to use with it that is sold separately. The solution is not a particular brand but it needs to be for ultrasonic cleaners. The cleaner looks just as pictured and is light weight. It comes with four different cleaning settings, but you can adjust the time by rotating the dial.I think the price is decent as this seems durable, I expect it will last a long time.

I have one of these similar ultrasonic cleaners for my wife’s mouthguard and I didn’t think it works. It just makes noise while she brushes her teeth and then it stops. But I thought I would try this larger one for my dive watch and my eyeglasses because hers is too small for either to fit. I was wrong, these do work.I first cleaned my dive watch, which I wear frequently and will take it in the shower. It came out about the same as it went in. The water didn’t look any dirtier, and there was just noise when this was cleaned the watch. Probably because it gets soap and water once a week. But then I put my eyeglasses in, and wow! What a difference that made. You could see all of the oil and skin cells coming off the frame and around from where I couldn’t clean it with lens cleaner. The water at the end was almost a translucent white. It was incredible how dirty these have gotten in a year. Very glad I used this and it did it with just plain water. The dial interface is easy to use and it didn’t move around on my countertop. I’d recommend this, especially for glasses wearers. It comes with a basket for smaller objects like rings. Read the instructions to see what can and what gems shouldn’t be put in there.
