I have connected this touchpad to a desktop computer with Win10 on board. I use it for about a month. The feeling of cursor control is comparable to that of an Apple MacBook. The drivers built into the Win10 system support a sufficient number of gestures for comfortable work and the ability to fine-tune. There is no desire to return to using a mouse, although, I know, there are professionals who use a touchpad in conjunction with a mouse. It might make sense in graphics, if you set up your mouse for high precision at the pixel level and use the touchpad for everything else. Moreover, while vertical scrolling with a good mouse can be more comfortable for many people, the touchpad has an undeniable advantage in horizontal scrolling. It also allows you to switch between tasks and desktops almost instantly. The very control of the cursor on the touchpad is much faster and easier, since it only requires moving the fingertips, the hand can remain stationary or only rotate on a table or other support. Moving the mouse with any grip also means moving the hand, which is less comfortable. The surface material ensures perfect finger glide. It is large enough for comfortable use while saving space on your desktop, especially when combined with a compact keyboard. Now about the disadvantages. The declared 2 months of work from a full charge have not yet been confirmed, although, one must assume that the battery has not yet reached full capacity, since I had only one full charge cycle and discharge up to 20% in 3 weeks for 3-4 hours of work. It should be noted that the charge occurs quickly enough and you can continue to work during the charge. There is an inconvenience associated with switching to power saving mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. Recovery of efficiency takes some time. There are use cases where this can be a significant disadvantage. Then you can consider a touchpad with a wired connection. By the way, there is no information in the description whether it works on a wire or a wire only for charging. I'll have to check. Then maybe, with such a connection, it does not need to hibernate? Maybe someone has already checked it?Sometimes, for no apparent reason, the cursor from the touchpad slows down or freezes altogether for a while. In this case, the "control" mouse behaves quite normally. Whether this is a problem of the touchpad itself, drivers or windows, it has not yet been determined. In conclusion, I want to say that the device is not ideal, but extremely comfortable and enjoyable to work with a computer.

This is a disappointment ... the touch-pad is physically well built / sturdy, nice touch, and when it works, it's lovely but it constantly disconnects / sleeps and lags.My wife played Warcraft on her MAC and was unhappy with using the mouse on the windows computer - I got her this so she could feel more "at home" on our windows gaming machine.. when the pad is connected and working it seems ok with maybe occasional lag but if she is chatting or keyboard turning for a bit the track pad seems to go to sleep and requires several seconds to reconnectShe's also reported unacceptable lag... if one uses the mouse instead - same game, same session, it works flawlessly so it's not the game or the computer. We really wanted to like this product - I am going to call their support to see if I get any useful advice ... if not I'll be returning.UPDATE: 2021-11-29 - Tried turning off any precision enhancment settings and some of the lag got better - even though the track pad is I've not had range issues on other bluetooth devices so guessing the W-Touch may be the problem - about to call their support but - if it's at least respectable I might increase stars

The drivers are built into the OS, so there is no need for additional drivers and none are included. Use Windows System settings to control the touchpad's speed, sensitivity, and gesture meaning. There are minimal instructions included in the "user guide" and nothing more on Brydge's web site. The lack of insight in the instructions took a point from the review. But the biggest complaint I have is the very short time period of inactivity before the W-Touch goes to sleep. For mine it is something under 2 minutes. This cannot be changed in Windows Settings that I can find, and Brydge's instructions are silent on the matter. Last night I queried Brydge support about this. If I receive a reply, I will update this with that information. The instructions are also silent about how to "wake" it up. By trial and error I learned you must click the touchpad- a tap will not do.Physically, the W-touch is generous in size. It is larger than the touchpad on any of the 4 laptops in my house. I's about 5.5 inches in the long dimension, just shy of 3.5 in the short dimension. The surface is active right to the edge, which I appreciate. Other touchpads I have tried are not active to the edges, so the actual active touch area is much reduced but I didn't learn that until they were delivered. Kudos to Brydge! The touch surface is smooth aluminum. My fingers move smoothly across its surface with no hesitation or drag. Tap-to-click works nicely and the pressure needed is configurable in Settings. Two-finger, three-finger, and four-finger gestures all work and are also configurable. As some people have noted, the pressure needed to actually click on it is greater than that needed on my old Logitech T650 (RIP), Some may not like that and ding the W-touch for it. I treat it as a design choice to prevent inadvertent awakenings. Too bad Brydge did not bother to explain this.I have used this successfully last night and today so far. I am impressed with the design and feel of the device. I used it simultaneously with bluetooth headphones without issues in either. All in all, my quibbles are minor so I would recommend the W-Touch to people who like to use premium peripherals and don't mind paying premium prices for that luxury.10/31/2020: I received a reply, quickly from Brydge support. "The sleep function on the W-Touch will initiate after about 20 minutes. This function cannot be altered and I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause." From my experience, I have yet to have 20 minutes before it goes to sleep. It HAS gotten longer between sleep sessions, to maybe 5-10 minutes. It varies. Sometimes it will lose connection for unknown reasons, and I have to reinitiate the connection. It is a bit bothersome, but not enough so far to deduct another star. Others may not be so patient.

Overall impressions are good. It works flawlessly supporting all three or four finger gestures built in by Windows. It also works with third party tools that can take advantage of precision touchpads such as multiswipe and gesturesign. The latter which can be download free from the Windows store allows you to create custom gestures for nearly anything. As other reviews note, the touchpad does fall asleep if it isn't used for a set period of time, somewhere between 5-10 minutes by my estimate. Battery life is good, though mine did arrive with zero battery so expect to wait 2-3 hours for a full charge. The trackpad I received did appear to have been used previously as there was some debris, stickers undone etc, so you may receive yours with a full battery.Other reviewers mention that tap to click doesn't work but I can confirm it does if you have it enabled in settings. Trying to click the trackpad isn't a great experience, it clicks best right at the bottom, with the top half requiring a lot of effort. It's also a deep click, so if you're not used to diving boards or enjoy force trackpads you may take time to adjust.Whilst not specific to Brydge trackpads, one irritating bug I found was in the Chrome browser where it will often stop scrolling. Whilst the cursor will move, clicking will work, the web page won't scroll and often requires me to close my tab/app and reopen to get it working again. Searching online, I found this bug in Chrome occurs with many manufacturers touchpads and migrating to Edge fixed this for me.Build quality is good, though the smoothness of the touchpad surface doesn't quite reach the standard set by top premium touchpads like Apples. When compared to a Macbook or my Razer laptop where the polished glass surfaces mean your fingers smoothly slide across the surface, this just feels fine and not as premium. In summary, in a league of it's own, unless you want to do a wired Magic Trackpad, which can be updated to use precision drivers on Windows. Not quite as premium as I'd like for the price tag, but does what it says on the tin.
