This cook set is pretty minimalist, not bad for one person, but two will be pushing things a bit I think. It has a pot with lid, a pan that the pot nests into, a stove, a set of utensils, a wooden spatula (I had to double check, somewhere in the listing they called it a "shovel" which made me chuckle a bit), a scrubby pad, and a few other bits, plus a bag to store it all in. All in all, it's pretty good, it's basic, but it's light weight and compact, and for a single person, not a bad option, particularly if you're going strong on the freeze-dried and reconstituted foods. If you're minimalist on the cooking side entirely, to where you're just heating water for oatmeal, hot cocoa, coffee, etc., this will probably support more like 3-4 people but make sure they all like oatmeal before you set off.The eating utensils all fold up with wire extensions, I'm not sure if that's to save weight or space, but I think it's rather unnecessary in either regard. They're clearly visible in the listing, not at all a dealbreaker, but worth trying them out before heading off into the woods for a week to find out if you'll love them or hate them; if you hate them, normal utensils aren't much bigger or heavier. If you have more than one person, you'll want more utensils anyway. It doesn't come with any cups; it doesn't claim to, but I'd recommend to add them.I like that the stove is quite light weight, folds up compact, and has an igniter built-in; all nice plus-column ticks for it. I found it to be very susceptible to wind, to the point that much more than a breeze, renders it nearly unusable as it was simply blowing out. Again, check things out, and/or plan to shelter it in case of wind. It's not a dealbreaker but stands to be a lot less convenient if you try to use it to cook somewhere breezy. It does adjust from a small warming simmer flame up to silly.

We've used the Camping Cookware Mess Kit, 13 pcs Backpacking Cookware Set on several camping trips to Padre Island National Seashore, and it has been a solid piece of gear. The kit is lightweight and packs down compactly, which is useful when space is at a premium in our packs. It comes with a carrying bag that keeps everything organized, so we don’t have to worry about loose pieces rattling around. The set is designed for one to two people, which works well for our needs. The pots are a decent size for cooking simple meals like soup or pasta, and the included utensils and mini stove come in handy. The folding utensils are a practical addition, though they can be a bit tricky to unfold if you have larger hands like mine. The stove heats up quickly and has an adjustable flame control, allowing us to simmer meals without burning them. However, it doesn’t handle wind very well, so we had to create a makeshift windbreak while cooking on the beach. The non-stick pots are easy to clean, which is helpful, especially when camping in areas like PINS where fresh water can be scarce. A quick rinse and wipe-down is usually all it takes to get them ready for the next use. The utensils, while functional, feel a bit flimsy. They work fine for lighter meals, but I can see them wearing out with frequent use. The pots are adequate for small meals, but if you're cooking for more than two people, you'll need to do it in batches.Overall, this mess kit covers the basics for lightweight cooking during short trips. It’s not perfect—the stove could be more wind-resistant, and the utensils could be sturdier—but it’s a convenient setup for simple camp meals.
