Overall, very happy with it. I used the video provided by BoostedMotorsports on YouTube as a general guideline. Helped a lot. The most difficult and tedious part of the install is the knobs. Exercise care and finesse doing this; you’ll have a bad day if you break the climate controls. There are 3 tabs per knob to release (don’t break them), but you only access to two of them at a time. I used some automotive picks, undid two of them, and while keeping preload on the knob, rotated it to the third clip and released it.I didn’t bother with the included external microphone. The one built into the faceplate seems to function just fine. Just throw away that silly external speaker thing that comes with it.The climate controls and truck options that you see in the stock head unit, all seem to be available and working. That was my big concern.Pros:- good sound quality. I’m using with factory Alpine stereo system. No complaints.- screen resolution, quality and touch responsiveness is very good. As good as any android tablet you might use. I use it to watch Netflix in my truck sometimes and it looks great.- I use Apple CarPlay most of the time. It’s aggressive about connecting to your phone when you get in. Just go to your Bluetooth settings for this particular stereo and turn off the CarPlay option if you don’t want it to connect, because otherwise it will constantly override and try to connect. My only gripe with CarPlay is that the resolution is a little strange, or zoomed in more than I would like. I use CarPlay in a lot of different vehicles and I wish it was possible to adjust this. Not a big deal though, very minor.Cons:-even on its dimmest setting for night (when headlights turned on) it’s a little too bright. I can live with it but dimmer would’ve been better. Daytime brightness is good.- the back up (reverse) camera quality. Definitely less than the factory unit. Still fine for its purpose. I rely on it for hooking up to trailers.- in the android menu, there is an app for the climate control, but you have to select “car info” and then “air set”. That’s annoying. It should be more readily available, and I wish you could put the “air set” icon to the main screen. But in practice, with the automatic climate controls and the physical stock buttons below the screen it’s no big deal.Would buy again. Especially for this sub $200 price tag.

Picked this up during the spring sale. Really nice upgrade for a good price. Install was fairly simple once you get all the bezels taken off the dash and old uConnect screen taken off. BoostedMotorsports on YouTube had a pretty solid install video that helped out a bunch. Not sure what model Rams have it but it appears that the yellow headed wiring is for GPS and/or SiriusXM (my model didn’t have GPS but it did have XM that I never used), the white headed wiring is your AM/FM. I saw multiple reviews talk about no AM/FM reception and I’ve yet to try and switch over to check mine (an online forum suggested a voltage issue between the antenna wire and radio adapter). The other two issues was with the climate control settings and US/metric measurements on both the unit and dash board. For the climate, don’t forget to switch the original unit to metric then follow the steps in the factory settings to show proper temps. For the US/metric measurements you’ll have to go into the car info app on the main screen and select US/imperial. One review said you’d have to upload a software update to fix that but at the time of my purchase and install that might have been taken care of on Junsun’s end. Once I selected US/imperial my dash units were correct even though all the individual metrics on the radio still had metric units. After multiple on and off’s everything is still perfect. When it comes to sound, the quality is pretty good. This unit has EQ settings I’ve never seen before. You can adjust a bunch of different Hz frequencies or use the preset ones. There isn’t much difference in the presets. The only issue I have with it is that vocals seem a bit low. When you put it in surround sound the vocal get a tad echoey so I have that setting off. The screen itself is responsive and the lag is minimal compared to the original uConnect software. The bezel frame fits perfectly with the larger bezel and is pretty seamless. All the automatic controls below the screen work perfectly.Still lots of internal features that I plan on digging into when I have the time. Not a fan of my audio pausing when I go in reverse and hoping I can change that. Also the factory back up camera may need to be upgraded, the picture quality is not the best on the larger screen. But all in all, this is a great upgrade for the old uConnect system and is a steal at this price. Anyone looking to upgrade, look no further.
