Replaced a set of Power Stop brake shoes that didn't hold the vehicle with the parking brake engaged, a closer look revealed that the shoe lining had glazed over. These centrics held firm and improved the braking distance as compared to PS, with the centrics the parking brake pedal engagement felt solid and with less clicks. Installed 6 months ago on a 2007 Tacoma double cab TRD Sport with 6 lug wheels. A happy camper with firm brake pedal and improved stopping distance. Very good drum brake shoes!

These shoes shipped with 6mm of pad on them. My last Raybestos shoes had 12mm on them when they were new, and had almost 6mm on them when i took them off. What's up with this? The shoes are squealing like crazy! i've double checked and triple checked them and they are correctly installed with lube in all the correct places.

My brakes were soft and I didn't realize my rear brakes were so dusty and grimed up they stopped auto adjusting as the shoes wore down. Got 'er all cleaned up and replaced the hardware on each side. These shoes appear to be good quality. Perfect fit! I highly recommend you buy the spring kit that is available on Amazon for this. One of my springs broke whilst I was removing it so I'm glad I had a new one to replace it with.

Installed these on a 2006 Tacoma TRD Offroad. Fit perfect. No problems. They came with the c clips. I used new hardware, springs, etc. Kit Delco 18K1776. But could have reused old springs and parts.

Installed on a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. This was the first set of rear shoes I've put on this truck. At 90k miles the old ones were making some noise but actually had more life left than I expected. I did not replace the drums. These shoes can be installed using basic hand tools. If you haven't done it before, it is worth your time to look up some YouTube videos and watch them before starting the job. There are several that are detailed and show some helpful tips. These shoes were great and well priced compared to the others I've seen.It came with posts installed, which was nice. The shoes do not come with the retaining rings need to reattach other pieces of the brake assembly. I had to destroy the old ones taking them off so I was glad that I had spent a few dollars more to get a new set of springs that came with the rings. Here is the one I used: A brake retaining spring compressor is nice to have () to release the shoes, but you can get by with a pair of long nose vise grips. You will also need a can of brake cleaner and anti-seize lube. Nitrile gloves are nice to have. I went through several pairs because I kept ripping them on sharp edges.Tip 1: Toyota drums have two threaded holes to assist with removal. The bolts needed for my drums were M8-125 x 40mm. (Check the size for your application.) Save yourself some frustration and get those two bolts ahead of time. Separating the drum from the hub using bolts is a LOT easier than trying to hammer or pry it off the hub. Since the threads were rusty, I used a shot of Blaster penetrating oil in each hole before putting the bolts in. I think that helped. Just run them in until they bottom out and use a wrench to walk it off, alternating between the two so it comes off straight without binding.Tip 2: The top spring is very strong and is the hardest to deal with. I was able to remove it using big needle nose pliers, but could not reattach the brand new spring using the same method. I could not hold tight enough with pliers while stretching it horizontally. That was awkward and dangerous when it slipped off. There is an easier and safer way. Use a long, heavy duty screwdriver and a smaller screwdriver or pry bar. Take the small screwdriver/pry bar and brace it 90 degrees to the back plate and resting on the hub. This creates a fulcrum to rest the bigger screwdriver. Slip the hook of the spring over the blade of the big screwdriver. Use the big screwdriver as a lever against the smaller one to stretch the spring in a controlled manner. (If my description wasn't clear, search YouTube for "jay em tacoma brake shoe removal". He demonstrates the technique at 4:25.)

So far so good, would have given it 5 stars if retaining clips were included. I had to reuse my old ones.
