I have only used it once, but I was on extremely hard wood and it cut exceptionally. Definitely sharp and a great value.

Seems to be a decent bit. And should last a while if you help it when you can. And what I mean by that is to remove some of the material with a saw before hand if you can. Or using a guide and making shallower passes. This is a large bit and if you try and take a full cut you will dull it quicker, plus make your router work harder. You will also get a better finish, and less chance of burning as the bit can run cooler if your not hogging out so much material on one pass. The 1/2" shank fits well and is straight / bit centered well. There was no visible flaws in the carbide. I have no clue on the carbide grade though. I cleaned it well and it cut a test piece of ASH well.

This is the perfect bit for making a nice looking edge on a table. I run a sawmill and produce my own lumber for my wood shop. I make custom furniture for sale.I got this bit to make a chamfered edge on tables for a nice finished look. The bit seems to be of good quality and the price is good for what you get.

The picture in the review shows three woods, poplar, oak and cherry. For the poplar it makes a clean accurate cut with no burn or chatter when milling it. When running the oak it had a lot of chatter but the cut still comes out pretty clean. I would not use this bit for cherry or other higher density woods. The chatter was high, I had to also take several passes and you can still see some burn on the cut. This is to all be expected with a large bit at this price. If you plan to use this for one or two projects in a soft wood then this is your bit. Otherwise spend the extra money at the beginning to get a better quality bit that will last for years.

I installed this in the router in my router table and proceeded to make some cuts in Hard Maple, Pine and Plywood. The results were fantastic, no chipping, no tearout and no chatter. The resulting cuts were super smooth. Zero complaints about this bit. If you need a 20 degree chamfer bit - I think you would be quite pleased with using this bit.

This 15 degree chamfer bit cut oak easily and cleanly without burning. It's well balanced, has a good bearing, and fit the collet well. This is big enough to make a cut almost 1 1/2 inches high.

This is a large, solid bit for cutting 22.5 degree chamfers in a variety of materials. The 1/2" shank and cutting head are straight and run true, and the bearing is centered properly and rotates freely. The cutting edges were nice and sharp out of the box, and the black coating seems durable.I've run this on a test pass through a couple lengths of 2x2 poplar, and the results were very satisfactory. I throttled the RPM down to about 8000 and cut slowly as a general precaution with a bit this size, as this can/will remove a lot of material in one swipe. The cuts were clean and consistent, and the bit showed no signs of immediate wear (as it really shouldn't, of course).I'm looking forward to my next project that will require the geometry this bit provides. In my line of work, bits like this will see a lot of use, but only when the occasion arises. That noted, it's a 5-star deal for me, because it's tough to justify spending a magnitude more on a big name bit. For the price, this is a winner!
