Excellent scale, but comes in brass not silver and the top hanging ring is a little different. Regardless excellent brand and very good quality.

Extremely accurate scale and easy to read. I calibrated it with Ohaus scale weights at the low and high ends of the scale where a lesser spring scale would exhibit some loss of accuracy......not the Chatillion. Buy with confidence, but be ready to calibrate it when it arrives.....very simple process, then add a dot of torque stripe so the adjustment can be visually verified.

Quality precision instrument. Mine was brass and not silver as in the picture. The brass looks better frankly and should not rust.

Bought the (MODEL IN-12) about 20 years ago for my husband who just lives to bass fish and to this day 03/03/13 he still swears they are the most accurrate fish scales he has ever owned. He says they never need ajusting because he keeps a 5 pound weight and they are always right on. And believe me he bought all the walmart and bass pro shop ones out there. So now I am about to buy our 2 grown sons (who love to fish as much) sets for their tackle boxes because they always seem to want to borrow their dads. The other reason he likes this model so well is it weighs in 2oz increments from 1 to 12 pounds. Hope this helps others trying to find the best scale for fishing catch and release.
