Decent brooder plate. I do like the plastic cover, makes cleaning easy. It's great for indoor use, but it didn't really get warm enough for my outdoor brooder in the cooler months.

Love this heating plate. Large enough for multiple chicks and easy adjustments. Just wish it came with a plate protector.

This heat plate was perfect for our needs. We were first time chicken owners and we wanted to make sure we bought something easy to install, safe for the brooder/chicks/children, adjustable, and easy to clean. Installation was a breeze. The legs are easily adjustable to meet the needs of your chicks age and warmth needs. We kept this in the chicks plastic brooder for 6 weeks when they were 1 day old up until almost 7 weeks. We used pine bedding and the heat plate was fine for that as well. It was easy for the chicks to use as we angled it up in the front and down in the back, so it could accommodate chicks that wanted more or less heat. We especially loved that it didn’t get hot to the touch on the top, so if anyone reached in to clean or hold a chick, they didn’t have to worry about bumping into it.

Bought for our chicks and unfortunately one of the legs broke as soon as a chick got on tip of it. May have been a shipping issue and not a quailty issue, but it worked great and was safe for my chicks. It was super easy to out together temperature was perfect and cleaning it was easy. Overall happy with the product other then the 1 leg but I would definitely try again.
