We live in a rural area with many trees along our power lines. So we often lose power. This is a great option for us to have a cheap and immediate means of light when this happens. Especially when it’s dark outside.

Great value for the money. Used in my office...same quality as big box stores.

We have purchased many of these lights to replace the original lights in our office building. They look and work great.

These aren't as good as the big commercial units we have installed in my office building, but for the cost, they are a great deal for a homeowner who needs emergency lighting in a small area.I installed this in my attached garage, above the regular (human-sized) door facing the driveway. I aimed one light straight down, and the other one at the half-flight of stairs coming up from the house, about 20 feet away. The light wasn't great, but certainly sufficient to walk around and avoid obstacles. I bought the 2-pack with the intention of putting the second one directly above the stairs, but I don't have the electrical done yet. I expect that adding the second unit will take the light from barely adequate to comfortable.Don't take "Barely adequate" the wrong way - for $20 and over 20 feet away, "barely adequate" is more than I expected.Battery life seems very good. I just had it on for more than 5 hours and didn't see any reduction in brightness. Also, I can't think of any scenarios where I'd need even an hour of emergency lighting. These are cheaply made, and they feel cheap. The backing plate is flimsy, the clips that hold the main body to the backing plate is flimsy, the mechanism that attaches and aims the light is flimsy. But who cares? You install it high, out of reach, and aim the lights once. The backing plate has keyhole knockouts to fit a variety of different mounting boxes. Make sure your box sits at least flush with the surface, or even a little proud of it. If your box sits slightly recessed, or isn't straight, use spacers. The backing plate, being flimsy, will "conform" to the surface, and if it bends too much, the cheap clips won't engage properly.

These are cheap and lightweight but work ok. They are not as bright as I expected. They are not as quick and as easy to install as they claim. It was cheaper to replace old emergency lights than to buy new batteries for existing units (with no guarantee the old lights would even work). Every single new unit I installed required manual drilling for new holes and/or trimming of snap-out holes because nothing would fit the existing standard wall mounting. They need to improve the molding to provide additional mounting holes for standard boxes (of several sizes) and larger openings for top mount wire fittings. If I do this again I'll buy brighter units with better mounting holes.
