I've used Clymer shop manuals since the 1970s, and they are always helpful, even for minor maintenance, including oil changes and replacing spark plugs. I keep this one in the garage with my 2012 Switchback for the many times I refer to it. I've never used an official Harley shop manual, so I cannot compare them, though I've generally found the manufacturer's shop manual to be slightly more comprehensive and detailed, but also usually twice the price.

This is the manual of all manuals. I didn't expect it to be so thorough. Anything you want to know you can find it in this book

Just got my manual today. Been thumbing through it and reading bits and pieces. This is my first Harley Davidson motorcycle and I just need a little guidance on the routine maintenance items with photos so I know which plug to pull to drain oil, transmission or primary. I also found the torque specs I will need.I'm not going to be rebuilding the engine or transmission, but for routine maintenance, I can spend $40 for this manual, (which also shows how to take apart/reassemble the engine) or $150 for a factory service/repair manual. Is it as complete as the factory manual? Probably not, but it's more than what I need to maintain my "new to me" Harley Super Glide. Its not my first Clymer either.
