Soft wood, care is needed when drilling, turning on lathe. Looks amazing once the CA glue finish is applied.

Somewhat disappointed in coloring which is overall pretty dark and less varied in any lighter areas than in photo. Saw other more varied pieces that look more attractive elsewhere

Mine had an abstract yellow almost like a dye leaked from something else and I get turning and find a pin hole through the blank. Upon closer inspection you can see them around the blank itself

Not a very good example of Cocobolo wood. Very dark and little to no color striations in the wood. Only 2 pieces would I call 50/50. You can see in the picture that it doesn't look like their picture

Well preserved blanks very nice. Makes gorgeous pens with these. They are a tad big for a pen but very nice.
