This is for a project over my next break/staycation, but I ordered well ahead as sometimes shipping takes a long time. However, this portion of the product arrived in a reasonable time frame and was not too dry, crushed, or broken. I will update the review once I have tried to use it.

I don't know what year this bamboo was processed but I don't think it was this decade! I gave it 2 stars because you can make a loose plain weave mat or if you want a lot of bamboo chips for kitty litter or whatever but it's basically useless for basket weaving!

I had to repair a large caned storage basket not knowing what size reed was used. Thankfully the description of the product gave me the information to determine the size reed I needed

Great reed. Making gourd baskets and this works great. I use as many pieces as I need for a particular basket and dye the reeds whatever color I need using powdered RIT fabric dye. Holds color great even after a second soaking. Very easy to use and comes in manageable lengths.

Not an accurate description. Correct product fornwhat I need but it’s more like 100 feet not 400 feet. Now Inhave tontry and find more.

In recent years, it has become difficult to find good quality reed. When I saw the blue ribbon tying up the coil in the picture, I thought I would take a chance on it. I was surprised when I opened the package and found a pound of reed that was not hairy. When I started to use it, it was straight and the color was consistent. The fact that I was able to get free shipping on Amazon Prime was an added bonus!
