My only complaint with this kit was that when I pulled it out of the cardboard, one of the cross bars had a dent in it. Not sure if it happened at the factory or in transit but it happens...I know the page says instructions not included but I did receive a 5 page set that had written instructions, pictures, as well as a parts list. If you're in a hurry for the install I would recommend someone to do a professional install but if you're a DIY guy like me and have pre-teen kids that want to "help" plan at least 7 hours to fix upside down brackets and find misplaced parts lol. But very happy with the outcome. Very solid design, I'm 400 pounds and I stood on the gaurd after install and jumped up and down no movement from brackets nor flex in material. Would definitely recommend.
