I have many of this company's brushes and I love that they never separate like so many with wooden handles. Also, they don't lose hairs and the hair quality is excellent. These are terrific brushes, and come in a wide range of different hair types. I have the rounds and the flat ones, as well as their scrubbers. i recommend them highly as someone who has been painting watercolor daily for decades.

for every painting you can create in watercolor. Bought this extremely affordable six pack of half inch flats for my artist wife. She's raved over these for four years, stating they create beautiful florals, (and they do). Perfect for myriad uses. This six pack should tide her over for several years. She gives them an A+!

A nice brush that I use on my coffee grinder. It was the perfect size and is holding up well.

This brush is such a nice brush it withstood the bad shipping technique of the supplier who dropped it into a plastic bubble sack (which it didn't stay inside) without protection for the brush itself. The brush end poked through the bag and the bristles were frayed when I opened the package. Imagining all the rough treatment the brush received during it's journey, it's surprising it wasn't more damaged. Thankfully, I have liquid brush shape, immediately repaired the bristles, and the brush looks good as new. I was going to purchase another brush from this supplies, but I'm going to buy from another source after seeing how they prepare brushes for shipment.

Very happy with this brush. It holds tons of water and paint, is smooth and soft, and a pleasure to work with. It leaves smooth watercolor washes. The packaging could be a little better; it was loosely placed in a box so when it arrived some of the hairs were bent. But fortunately I was able to wet it and straighten them out.

The best brand of mixed-fiber watercolor brush I have found. These Connoisseur brushes, while a little difficult to find, have great spring, hold plenty of water and do exactly what I want them to do! They hold up well. I also really love having the "scraping" end on the handle. This is my go-to brand and, IMHO, is far superior to any other comparably priced (or even higher priced) watercolor brushes I have tried! I just wish more art suppliers carried these! The Connoisseur brand Kolinsky sable brushes, while necessarily more expensive, are wonderful too!

I am not a great or even a good water-color painter yet. My evaluation is based on experience of having used many different brushes made by different manufacturers in my quest to master this activity. These brushes are some of the best I have used. They hold their shape, dispense the medium responsively, and hold a great deal of paint. Essentially they make a difficult task easier and with greater control. To be clear when comparing this brush to my sable collection these brushes come closest to being among the best in class.

Found this brush after searching extensively. It's hard to get a 1-1/2 inch taklon brush with a roound handle, and of the very few available this cost only half or less what similar brushes run...if you can find them. The taklon fibers are excellent for dry washes and rough edges, much better than sable, and the brush holds a large amount of water, which is very important for washes and backgrounds on large areas. I've come to use this almost exclusively for large washes, and find it good for some delicate detail work as well. Construction is top notch and it has a handle tip shaped for scraping out highlights. The plastic handle should stand up well, better than the lacquered handles on flat wooden handle brushes in the same general size range. It's a beauty!
