I ordered a NEW item and received an obvious returned one.

The box includes a lot of accessory pads which is a nice add-on. The power/indication button has a sticker that on mine had come off and was stuck to an errant piece during it's travel from it's place of manufacture to me. This uses a DeWalt battery but I use a Ryobi One 18V with an adapter to DeWalt fitting. The motor seems powerful, I tried to stop it by pressure and it continued to run at full weight of pressure. It has about 8 speeds that cycle through with another press of the power button and move in one direction until reaches the end. To turn it on and off it requires and extended press of the power button. The other indication in a 3 bar battery indicator light. I think this will be a good product for basic scrubbing, waxing polishing. Update: So after one use, this started falling apart piece by piece. The velcro holder pad came off rendering it useless. I tried gluing back on so we will see if that helps. So, whatever adhesives they are using on this product don't work.

This was ordered to finally have a buffer/polisher for our cars. It has been so long since I have polished any of our cars. As summer is coming around, I thought it would be a great idea to perform some detailing on all of the families vehicles; this cordless car buffer/polisher is perfect for this. It comes with quite a few different polishing pads that should last quite a while, as I’ll likely only use the machine to polish the cars once a year. The kit does not include a battery and is set up to accommodate DeWALT 20V batteries. As I primarily have Makita tools and many 18V Makita batteries, I use an inexpensive adapter that allows DeWALT 20V tools to use Makita 18V batteries; I have a few other DeWALT tools that I use Makita batteries with. This cordless car buffer polisher is a good value, with a list price about $50 at the time of this review. A good option for a car buffer polisher with a lot of attachments included at a good price.

Firstly, I'm thankful that I already had the correct battery for this in my tools (DeWalt). The amount of attachments that came with this is amazing and we're definitely put to use. However, it started to fall apart kind of easily. I'm unsure as to whether it was a defect or possibly an issue with the adhesive materials. When it does work, it's great though.

I am the kind of person that hates to drive a dirty vehicle. I like to hand wash my cars and clay bar once a year. I will wax and buff as needed. I have been using a larger Porter Cable corded machine, but it is heavy and very tiring. So when I saw this unit that used Dewalt batteries, which I have in abundance I decided to try it.This machine works perfectly with my Dewalt batteries. They slide in easily and operate smoothly. Hold the on/off button down for 2-3 seconds and the machine springs to life. Turning it off works the same way 2-3 seconds. The thing that I did not like was that you had to scroll through all the speeds advancing the speed of rotation higher each time. There is no deceleration button even though the sticker on top clearly shows a minus sign, there is no way to back off the speed. You have to go through all the speeds or hold the button for 3 seconds and it will turn off. The problem with this is that when you apply the polish you want to be on a lower speed or it will fly everywhere. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I did finally get the hang of it.The main reason I ordered this unit is to be able to use it with the Dewalt batteries and it does do that just fine. My larger Porter Cable buffer/polisher cannot get into smaller areas that this one can. Not having to worry about a cord dragging on your cars surface is also a plus. You get a lot of extra accessories with this kit such as a carry bag, buffing bonnets, polishing pads and sanding discs. As I plan to use this strictly for my cars and maybe some wood working finishing projects, I will not use it as a sander. The quality of this tool is fair, not great, but OK. I had to reglue the ON/OFF sticker because it came off with the first use, but other than that it is OK. The unit feels well balanced while using it even with a larger amp hour battery in it.I will be looking for something even smaller to do the headlight restoring, but this one is not bad for now.Bottom line.. If you want to go cordless and have a collection of Dewalt batteries then I would say go for it. If you want something more professional quality I would stick with corded and just be mindful of the cord....

I generally have any number of items that I could use a polisher/sander on. My problem is that they are all corded and many times it is just not worth the effort to break it and the extension cords out or I am too far from an outlet. This battery powered unit will make life's work so much easier.I had not really expected much for the listed price and the fact that there is a missing battery. But, since I already have DeWalt 20 volt battery powered tools it was worth a try. Well, to my surprise, this thing is one stout tool. It feels and looks absolutely quality. Heavy duty case and it performs perfectly with the DeWalt battery.Comes with so many added items too. The tool itself, 3 six inch waffle polish pads, 3 flat 6 inch polish pads, 8 buffing bonnets, 6 sanding disks, 1 microfiber towel, 2 wool pads, a pair of gloves, apron and a zippered carry bag. There are so many items that it is difficult to fit them all in the supplied carry bag.The tool is top notch, the buffing and polishing pads are good, the apron is generally useless, The microfiber cloth is okay, Sanding disks are okay too. The bag.... well, it is not a real strong bag but will do the job. It is a little small for everything but i intend to just store the tool in it and everything else in a storage tool box that I have for that task. The one thing that I can say is that this tool is well worth every penny it costs and when you feel it in hand, you know it is going to last.
