With batteries fully charged, when turned on, the welder turns off in a few seconds. The instruction manual is not helpful as far as operation instructions. Units looks well made, but does not work. I contacted the seller, and was told to make sure batteries were charged. I recharged batteries and it still cuts off after a few seconds. Spent $500 and haven’t welded not one spark.

Works great used it to do a trail repair on a broken tie rod end about 6 to 8 rods per charge depending on welding temp.

I never write reviews but since there are none for this thing I feel compelled to. I was skeptical as hell but considering Esab sells essentially the same thing for $3600 and this one is the price of the batteries I took the gamble. I've ran a few pounds of rods (6010/7018 3/32") and so far it works great. The instructions are hard to understand but it is extremely configurable and has some high end features like hot start and dig. You can even set the open circuit voltage, never seen that before. The unit feels well made and the plastic is very tough with a lot of fiberglass in it. It is tiny and light because there is no transformer or rectifier just pure DC. The electrical requirement is a 40w charger not an expensive and dangerous 240vac circuit. It is super powerful to be able to weld anywhere. People need this thing.

This is the best thing I have ever purchased. I totally recommend.
