I only used it once, but it felt like it weighed 50 pounds. It was a struggle moving it around even while it was collapsed, so it was not as conveniently portable as I was expecting. I laid it down on my porch to extend it to the full 15 feet before putting up against the house. Carrying it while extended wasn't so difficult, but it took some effort to stand it up. I had to use it in snow, so I had to keep digging in the hole I created for the ladder to get the ladder to stand straight. If the base isn't perfectly level, the ladder will lean noticeably. The feet really dug into the snow, and the ladder stayed stationary the whole time. It didn't tilt, slip, or flex. The extension and collapse instructions are clearly printed on the ladder itself. It has a nice safety feature that prevents a rung from fully collapsing until you unlock the rung beneath it. As long as you collapse it from the top down, you won't have to worry about it slamming down on your hand.

Knowing that Core Distribution makes Xtend + Climb ladders, I took a chance that this ladder was one of their "knock-offs". When it was delivered, it is the real deal 785+ model! What a tremendous savings too! It is heavier than I need, but for extra safety, I'll take it! You can't go wrong with this model.
