Just roll the ball on your horse's side softly and with the light contact that these spurs provide, your horse will be performing at his best. Quality Coronet Stainless Steel. Gents.

Was worried that, for the price, they would be noisy. They're not.

Strength and fit of the spurs. Rolls to direct horse without digging in.

While I won't argue that the quality of these spurs is excellent, the size of the neck and ball is very exaggerated. Due to the size and weight these spurs tend to slip, even with a boot rest and tightly cinched spur leathers. We tried everything from bending to cinching the strap to ridiculously uncomfortable tightness to get them to settle in place with no luck. Not sure if it might have something to due with the wide 'U' at the head of the stirrup and a smaller foot, regardless these didn't work for a size 7 more narrow footed boot. Ended up going with a spur that had a shorter neck and smaller ball and they fit beautifully.

I love these spurs. I use them on my OTTB on the flat and over fences. they are so gentle and he responds really well to them. I also love the way they look.

Exactly as described. Good quality, humane spur. Just enough to encourage forward movement.

Beautiful, well made spurs. Quality construction and I like how tightly everything fits together-- obviously there's attention paid to precise engineering and manufacture. They look like they cost way more than they did!The surface which contacts the horse is nice and smooth, and the pieces which hold the spur balls are placed in a way that makes it unlikely they'll catch the horse and create cuts or rubs (or just be uncomfortable!). I personally believe spurs should only be used sparingly and only by riders with an educated, still leg. Spurs allow leg cues to be smaller and more refined, they're not for banging on the horse, punishing the horse, or bullying the horse. Because of this I prefer rounded, small spurs with no sharp edges. These are absolutely perfect.

Very smooth, roll easy. The neck that holds the ball is well rounded and smooth so as not to rub. Fantastic training spur to prevent rubs that usually happen with my POW spurs. Very polished and nice enough to show in as well.
