First one I ordered the charger was not working. The red or green light on charger never turned on. Second one did not have yellow glasses. Over priced black light. It is cheaper here than a tool truck, but it is no better than a 14 dollar black light. I verified with some peers that had bought this same model from snap on truck and theirs did not work properly. Good black lights do not even need glasses in order to see glow from oil dyes.

Bought this light about a month ago, when first got i charged it up and put it in my toolbox, a few weeks later i go to use it and the battery is dead, i charged the battery again and the light worked for the 10 seconds i had it on after charging, put away and tryed to use next day and the battery was dead once again, battery isnt holding a charge and replacement batterys are over half of the cost of the tool

I am a professional mechanic with 34 years experience, I have used all types of UV lights and this one is the best of all. It is brighter than the last one I had that clamped to the battery terminals, and I am not limited any more by the length of the battery leads. This is particularly useful with leak checking rear A/C units on large vehicles. Over all I give this light two thumbs up!

Very bright and now even more durable than previous model it replaced. The older model used and turn the cap to turn on-off which over time stop making good contact and lead to it falling apart. otherwise it is the same brightness I had before but now with a push button switch.

I like it, it is very bright and a handy size. I've found that it is important to use the tinted glasses, they make the dye much easier to see.

With the many high powered 445-450 nanometer output LEDs available on the market, Spectronics could have done much better.Do yourself a favor, get a $12.00 cordless dental curing lamp on EBAY which easily emits 10x the power at 445-450 NM. You will see your fluorescent leak detector dye much better.

Very bright, turns the tracer dye yellow looking instead of green. Have had other uv lights that were battery powered but not very bright and batteries did not last very long. I find this flash light is brighter than our 120v uv light and brighter than our 12v vehicle powered uv light. You can buy cheaper----but this is definitely best bang for the buck!!!! Great price!!! Great product!!!

This light is very bright. It is brighter than a mag light flash light. It will light up a big building a block a way. A must for any real mechanics box. The green light on the chargers ac plug is sopposed to turn green when charged but it was still red after 9 hours of first before use charge but was red and it would flash green when I wiggled the chargers wire I think it is just fine though.
