These were described as plastic, but are actually rubber. I wanted hard plastic boots as they offer better protection. Will be returning these.

Don’t wast your money on these. Because they are made of silicone they will fall apart with any contact with dirt or rock. I liked the color which is why I got them but learned quick that I made the wrong choice.

It is definitely waste of money, the material they're made of is soft silicone that doesn't protect at all.In description it says plastic though.

The material selected by the vendor is like thin silicone. It has absolutely no strength at all against rock strikes. After 4 rides my boots already have pieced tears and the cranks are scraped. So I paid for something and got nothing out of it.On the other hand I had purchased RaceFace boots for my other bike 6 years ago and have never once seen a tear. Crank arms looked perfect when I removed the RaceFace boots.Don't waste your money to save $10.
