The rubber straps appear to have small cracks and I don’t know how long they will last. I don’t know if there are replacement ones available for purchase.

I like how adjust, how they fit the OEM 2022 Silverado truck mirrors. The mirrors are fully adjustable but the vibration is annoying going down the highway but...they work well for backing my trailer.

Mounting and dismounting is a relatively easy process. They are stable enough at speeds. However, both straps went bad after one month. bad as in rot and then snapped. And it’s not as if they were mounted the whole month. Contacted curt asking if i could get replacement straps. Never heard back. Unless i can rig up my own straps, these are essentially garbage.

The mirror extension does not fit the passenger side of a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, due to the tabs at the bottom restricted by the design of the mirror. The rubber bands attach to the top on the driver side, and the bottom of the passenger side, as it is "advertised" as one mirror for left and right. There is no way to change the rubber bands around to work around the issue. The mirror vibrates a lot, making it difficult to get a clear picture from it.Not so much a product issue, but during strong winds from the front, the extension mirror will actually fold in the main mirror. And finally, the screws on the mirrors started to rust after only a month of being on the vehicle.

This is my first review: For the money, this is a good temporary tow mirror. It installs easily and removes easily. In addition, it is fairly stable, not vibrating too much while driving. The mirror itself adjusts to either a vertical or horizontal position, depending upon your need. And for me, the size is sufficient to give a good rear view behind the tow.Update--one year later: Both mirrors fell off while on an extended trip. Elastic straps deteriorated and broke. I have to downgrade my review to a "don't buy." These could be extremely dangerous if they come off while on the highway. Luckily for me, the right one came off while on a two lane highway and ended up on the shoulder. Just one of the elastic straps on the left mirror broke while driving, giving me time to pull over and remove the mirror.

Good mounting - never had a problem in 1600 miles of towing.I used it on a Honda Ridgeline, which has plastic mirror casings similar to cars (so you won't find a towing mirror for it). The rubber straps of this mirror held it tight to the truck mirrors, and there was little or no vibration.Pro:Inexpensive.Easy and fast to mount/remove.No vibration.Easy adjustment.Good range of adjustability. All plastic/rubber - so no scratching vehicle paint.Con:A bit fragile. Arms are plastic (which is fine) but a little too thin so they're easy to break (didn't break mine, but could see when I was straining them).Limited adjustment on the mirror itself. It uses a standard ball mount so you can spin the mirror any way you want, but it can only pivot about 15 degrees - not quite enough for me.Mirror ball mount is a bit fragile (the plastic "stud" is only 1/4" wide, with a screw in the middle to mount it - perfect design to split the mounting stud). I did manage to break the ball mount of one mirror - not sure how, but when I arrived it was broken - it lasted 5 days/1600 miles. Oh well - I'll jerry-rig it next time I use them.Rubber straps age quickly - again after 5 days on the road the straps were showing signs of "dry rot" or UV aging. These are definitely for temporary/limited use.For my limited use scenario, I'd buy them again. Hard to beat the price.
