It works! This fixed my problem with my old Lenard Utility trailer. I just got a 2019 Lincoln Navigator and the trailer lights were LED and wouldn't work with the Navigator's electrical system. I tried incandescent and LED trailer lights and nothing worked. Then I got this adapter with the embedded resistor in it and now the LED lights on the trailer not only work but the Navigator shows a message on the dash saying that the trailer is connected. It also noticed that I hadn't connected the left side light up yet and was showing a message to check the left side light. Awesome! THANK YOU! Note: Doesn't work with incandescent trailer lights but I'm ok with that.

Did not solve the funky turn signal and brake light flashing on our combination of an F350 and Mobile Suites 5th wheel. May work for other combinations, but I can't say.

Pretty disappointing paying $48 for a new adapter, used ones advertised at $17, and I have been sent an obviously used product. Right out of the box the cord and 7 pins were covered in dirt, with green corrosion on the prongs of female end. I want my money back what a rip off.

Left Brake/Signal light on 2022 Jeep would flicker when flat-towed with Ford F-250. This connector used as an in-line adapter resolved the issue.

Ok so this did not work on my 2023 Chevy Colorado when hooked up. I decided to take it apart. Lo and behold completely wired the wrong way for my truck. Rewired it to match my trucks wiring inclusive of the resisters. Plugged it in and boom all lights lit. Only issue is brakes on the trailer weren’t operational. That’s a problem so I’ll have to recheck to make sure I reattached the blue wire correctly. So for anyone saying it doesn’t work check that your truck/trailer wiring matches the wiring of this unit because the resisters may be going to the wrong wires.

I have a 2021 Tiffin Wayfarer class c motor home with the Mercedes chassis. 3.0 diesel. I am towing a Jeep 2 dr JK sport and when I hooked up to the 7 pin it was not powering the lights on the tow vehicle. I took it to camping world and to Mercedes to see if something was wrong with the 7 pin. Mercedes said there is a tow module that tells the engine when something is hooked up to be towed but since my Jeep has LED lights there isn’t enough power from the Jeep to affect the module so I was not getting power for my Jeep taillights. I then called Tiffin and they suggested this adapter and just recieved it. Hooked it up and BOOM we have power. Problem solved for $30. Awesome and thanks.

If you are trying to figure out why your Mercedes 2008 GL320 is giving you error messages when you connect to a trailer, the issue is the rear SAM (System Accesory Module circuit board) only being programmed to recognize incandescent bulbs for trailers.Rather than take your Mercedes in to be reprogrammed by the dealership, this tricks the rear SAM into believing you have incandescent bulbs on the trailer, and everything works perfectly! No more error messages on the dash! The odd thing is the rear SAM can only be programmed for with LED or Incandescent… if you tow more than one trailer, it would be ridiculous to reprogram your rear SAM every time.Use this adapter when you have a trailer with LED lights, and unplug when you have a trailer with incandescent. For the ease of use, price, and not having to go into the dealership, this is a perfect piece of kit to have in your Mercedes GL 320 or ML 320, and even a GL 450!

I had an issue with my 2014 VW Touareg connecting with my 2020 Lance trailer. The running lights would flicker when the trailer was plugged in with the vehicle's ignition off. Also, the trailer batteries would slowly discharge when everything was connected and I was travelling. I had both a VW mechanic and a Lance technician look at the vehicles (tow vehicle and trailer) and they found no problem...they both said the other vehicle was at fault. This adapter has resolved the issue nicely. My only criticism (thus 4 * instead of 5) is the adapter has a mounting bracket that is a bit bulky and doesn't appear to be removable. A small price to pay to have everything working properly!

I have a Ford Expedition to tow a travel trailer. And I used to get lamp failure errors at random times, I was never able to figure out why. I read a bunch of forums and YouTube videos to see if I could fix it, as it appears to be a common problem. One of the comments mentioned this adapter as a possible solution. Since getting this I haven’t had that problem yet and I’ve put on around 1,000 miles on my camper with this. If your Ford gives you a lamp failure, this might be worth a try as it seems to be working for me.

I have a 2021 Chevy 2500 Duramax and a 2021 Reflection (Grand Design) travel trailer that has LED lights. On our trip from Houston to Alaska, we started getting trailer break fault signals. After several stops to check that the trailer brakes still worked, we drove on trying to ignore the error messages. Multiple Chevy dealers checked out the truck and didn't find anything wrong until the Anchorage dealer mentioned the low resistance of the trailer LEDs might be causing the issue. He showed me a service bulletin about this adaptor and I purchased immediately Would highly recommend to anyone that deals with the persistent and annoying error. Also, keep your weight distribution hitch and ball greased up as well. If these systems are dry, it can multiply the trailer light warning messages
