How To Install AIRTEVA Filters
Filter back grill installation
If your filter is located in a filter back grill, install it in the shown direction, with the writing facing you.
Air handler or Furnace installation
If your filter is located in an air handler or furnace, install it in the shown direction, with the writing facing away from the unit.
Duct installation
If your filter is located in your return air duct, install it in the shown direction, with the writing facing away from the unit.
How To Measure - Take your time. Get it right, you'll never have to do it again. These air filter frames can last a lifetime!
Measuring Grills
1. Many air filter grills have obstructions such as stop tabs, rivets, and screws. You want to make sure you take your measurement between these objects and subtract 3/8 inch, so the air filter will fit between them when you install it.
2. Because AIRTEVA air filters feature a Patented Leak-Guard seal, the filter does not have to fit edge to edge tight. As long as your measurement is larger than the inner lip of the grill, your filter will seal properly. Leave yourself room to remove and re-install it easily.
3. Always open the air filter grill to take the measurement, don't assume the inside measurement is the same as the outside.

Measuring Furnace & Air Handlers
1. When measuring the filter track or slot, measure the length of the filter from front to back, leaving room for the access panel. Measure the width from side to side.
2. Because AIRTEVA air filters feature a Patented Leak-Guard seal, the filter does not have to fit edge to edge tight. As long as your measurement is larger than the inner lip of the track, your filter will seal properly. Leave yourself room to remove and re-install it easily.

Obstructions
When measuring the filter track or slot, look for any obstructions, such as screws. Be sure to allow for any obstruction in your measurements.

Well-made product that saves a lot over paper filters. I felt that there should have been an instruction sheet, but there are Airteva YouTubes that show the best technique for inserting the filter media.

After failing to find exact filter sizes and trying to make plastic adjustable filters fit, I ordered a custom fitted electrostatic filter from this company an it fits perfectly. (Just realize that they will take about 1/2” of each dimension you give them).Fits perfectly and is very sturdy unlike the plastic ones which were usually just a bit smaller in width than I needed (19.5” instead of 20”).

Ordering this product was a fabulous decision. I ordered the size I THOUGHT I needed and was surprised to get a call, almost immediately, from the seller because the measurements seemed unusual.Back story: The location of my filter is super weird because I live in an older home with a ventilation system to match (I mean, this house has an old coal shoot from the outside going into the basement).I digress, the seller was incredibly helpful, directed me to their website to see HOW to measure for their filter, and stayed on the phone with me while I did so. I was also able to text her pictures of my system and outline that I needed the filter longer so it stuck out of the slot so I could retrieve it. She told me that it wouldn't work very well if it stuck out and said that they would come up with a solution so I would be able to easily retrieve the filter. Long story short: I received my custom filter very quickly, it fit perfectly, and their retrieval solution was simple and spot-on. Removing a filter from that tortuous slot has never been so easy.I'll be honest; it is so rare to receive customer service of such a high caliber these days. I felt as if I stumbled upon a unicorn garden in the middle of the current hellscape that is modern customer service.I know this probably sounds super strange, but I smile now every time I look at that jinky slot, where their masterpiece of a custom filter now resides. Unicorns exist. They are right here. Buy this product and help keep this unicorn small business alive.

Use to have it in my old house because i put in a new AC and the contractor recommended it. I but bought a new house and just tried the regular HD filters but they were either to soft and would get sucked up into the coils or were to thick and would stall the unit. I decided to go back to what I knew worked well and got this. Man did I waste time, should of got it from the start. Easy to install, works excellent and great price. Highly recommend this for any home.

OMG, our old, non-standard A/C filter opening in the ceiling has been a constant source of frustration for me for as long as we've lived in this freaking house. We tried a cheap, cut-to-size plastic grill with washable filter...didn't work well at all, half the time the damn air-handler sucked the entire thing up into the intake vent.More often we would simply get the one filter size that was as close as we could get...which involved literally scrunching the damn thing up and mashing it into the hole (giggity). Which didn't work, either, because it would distort so badly that half the air would just go around it into the large gaps created by getting the stupid thing in there in the first place.Recently, I decided to do another search on Amazon to see if there were any custom-sized A/C filters that would fare better than our previous attempts. That's when I came across this company. Custom-made to order? Leak screen on the backside? HELLS YEAH sign me up!Busted out the trusty tape measure and measured the opening. In dismay, I realized my filter size would be in 1/2" increments, until I went back to the listing and saw that they actually account for that on the order screen!Shipping was super-quick, ordered it 12/27, got the filter today (12/29), and almost got back into despair-mode when I had some trouble getting the frame into the intake. The fit was very tight, but I finally got it by angling one side in first past the little lips to hold the filter in place, and then hitting it a couple of times on the other with my palm, and snick! Right into place, tight fit, no gaps. LOVE IT!'For years we dealt with poor fitting filters, and constant contaminants in the air being perpetually recycled back into the house. NO LONGER, MY FRIENDS!If any of my situation sounds like what you're dealing with, THIS IS THE SOLUTION!

It is a solid product, will perform as designed. The customer service lady was very helpful and gave detailed information and guidance about the product at every step. It is a good option if you have non standard central AC inlets like I do.

I just installed this filter in my AC/heating unit and it fits great! The actual size of the outside of the filter was between 1/16" and 1/8" less than the actual measurements I provided, but the company probably did this to ensure the filter actually fits. I had already subtracted 1/4" from my actual measurements so I knew it was going to fit with the measurements I provided. The construction is high quality. I especially liked the brush seal on the low-pressure face of the filter to help seal the filter openings. Another feature I really liked and wasn't expecting is the permanent mesh on the low pressure side of the filter which prevents any type of filter material from buckling and getting sucked into your unit. With the washable filters I purchased, this will be a permanent, low cost solution to my filter needs. No more purchasing expensive filters that have to be thrown away.Thanks Airteva! You've got a nice quality product for a reasonable price. I should have purchased one of these years ago!
