I own a ton of little blinky rear and other front lights for my bikes. I don't believe you can be too visible while riding, especially on the roads. The Cygolites are simply far brighter and have better battery life than the other options, in my experience. I use this small micro on the seat stay and a larger light (like the Hotshot series) on the seat bag. This front light has a sturdy rubber mount so you can easily swap from bike to bike, if you have several like me. I like this package so much that I just bought another one for the coming fall and winter riding season. So long as they continue to hold up well, Cygolite will continue to be the other lights I will buy going forward.

There are 2 uses for these lights. The first is for riding at night. Bottom line, you really need a light this bright to be safe. If you don't, then maybe others can see your light but you can't see them. The second is during the day when they're being used simply as warning lights so others see you. The flashing functions on these lights are excellent for that.Bottom line, I love them. Great product, battery life is good, easy to mount and they're functional. Safety first.
