I've had a bunch of dash cams over years and this one has to be the easiest to use. Easy to pull up video segments and download to phone and send them to email, through text messages or whatever. GPS is for monitoring vehicle speed. It does give coordinates but no map to show location on. Easy to connect to phone via WiFi, connects automatically after setup. Got it for my semi to catch all the idiot 4 wheelers doing their stupid moves. I'll probably get one for my pickup also.

Terrible product. Not even 6 months since I bought it and now is not even working. Just keeps going on and off. Is not recording and is now useless. If I don’t get a replacement nor money back, I am reporting this selling partner right awayUpdate January 20th. Contacted Selling Partner directly and they offered me a replacement with no cost so they are a trustful seller.

So far, I am genuinely impressed with the Lingdu D100. I did a lot of research on various dash cams prior to selecting this one. Money isn't really an issue for me, but convenience, size, installation, etc. are. First, don't be thrown off with the 2.5K resolution, vs the many "Claiming" 4K. Believe it or not, MANY dash cams advertising 4k are really just 2k that is being "upscaled". Just like many cheap TV's upscale resolution. In other words, unless you're really spending the money on a REAL 4k resolution, you're not going to be able to tell the difference. And for dash cam purposes, 4k isn't really that important. Think about it... you want a dash cam basically to prove who is at fault during an accident; or to prove your innocence in court against a traffic ticket or dispute with another driver. In ALL of these scenarios, your car and the other vehicle are going to be WAY CLOSE ENOUGH that reading a license plate or a good description of the vehicle is going to be recorded just fine. If it's someone who swerved and cut you off and made you have or avoid having an accident, chances are you'll get all the information you'll need. So, throwing 4K aside, and settling for 2.5K, I am quite happy with this dash cam. Some people want a screen. Sorry, this doesn't have a screen (to play back recordings) but that too is silly. The screen on a dash cam is so small, watching playback is useless. I prefer using my phone to watch live and playback video. I prefer having a smaller camera footprint on the windshield. The ONLY advantage having a screen ON the camera does, is makes it easier to AIM the camera during installation. But I had no problem aiming using my phone. For what it's worth, I used one of my OLD RETIRED I-Phones for this. I charged it up, deleted ALL the other apps, and basically just have the Lingdu dash cam app on it. This way I can leave it turned on and see live (to ensure it's aimed good) and I can use it to change settings and download the video clips to. Then transfer the video to my desktop if I need to.The Lingdu D100 has GREAT voice commands so you don't really need a screen or a phone once it's set up. Not unless you want to rewatch a video, download a video, or make settings changes. As soon as the camera powers up, it automatically starts recording. If the G-shock sensor senses a jolt (potential accident) it automatically moves that video into an emergency folder that will NOT let you delete the file. No worries of accidentally deleting the video. It can't be done. The only way to get rid of the emergency videos is to FORMAT the SD card again. But you can do just about anything with voice commands; it they work great. You can tell it to take a picture and it will SNAP SHOT the current frame of video. Even if there isn't an accident, you can say "Lock the video" and it will put it in the emergency folder that can't be deleted. You can tell it to start or stop recording and turn on or off wifi. And the unit talks to you to let you know of it's status. It tells you if a file is moved to the emergency folder; if wifi is on or off; if the memory card is having an issue; when it's recording or stops recording. The Lingdu D100 is a great standard Dash cam. It runs on 5v USB-C which means you don't need to use the cigarette lighter/power adapter that comes with it. Most modern cars have USB connections or you've put in USB A and USB C plug in adapters in your cigarette lighter. Just like for charging a cell phone. For me, I did a modified mounting behind my rear view mirror and I tapped into the power to the mirror using a 12v to 5v USB-c converter. My radar detector is also connected via power to the mirror. This way I don't have wires running all over the place. Great deal if you want a basic camera. For $29.99 you can't really go wrong.

Excellent features, including many configuration options, GPS, and hi-res video, for the price. Reasonably easy configuration. Takes up to 256 GB Micro SD card, which is unusual, and great! Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is due to the lack of a suction cup, or 1/4x20 screw, windshield mounting option. It comes only with a glue pad that must be stuck to the windshield (not nice), or to an "electrostatic card" that adheres to the windshield (strange and non-typical), and the dashcam sticks to that. Had to adapt my own mount from a third party suction cup, kind of a pain. Easy 5 stars if a standard mounting system was provided.

First of all, I compared many styles and finally chose this one. The most important thing for me is that it does not occupy the space of the windshield and affect the vision. It has achieved this, and its price is moderate and the operation is easy. My car is a small suv, but it still spent a lot of time on the hidden line, many times found that the line is not long enough, and finally can only be completed by missing a section outside. In addition, I found that it cannot view the history when it is working same time,so I need to exit the real-time recording and then view the history. Finally, it cannot be done at the same time. Overall, there are no serious problems, but it does need to be improved

IMO this is the best dash cam you can find here at Amazon for this price range. Has time stamp, gps, and records speed. The video quality is excellent and I’m so pleased with this, and I’ve had a bunch of them over the years, that I have them in both my personal cars and now a third one for a Christmas gift. FYI …… the time setting in the app goes by UTC or Coordinated Universal Time. Just locate the correct setting for your area. Everyone should have one of these today simply for insurance purposes and this one’s a winner.

When I had trouble getting the rear camera to work, I sent an email to the support email address cited on the User Manual. I got a reply the very next day. The problem was that I had not inserted the cable (from the rear camera) fully into the main unit (the front camera). It has to be pushed very hard to insert it completely, so that none of the silver metal of the pin is visible. I am very happy with the device, and I'm ordering another one upon seeing the lower "black Friday" price. One thing that was not mentioned in the description is that the images for the front and rear cameras are recorded in separate files with the same names. The file names include the date and time of each recording, making it easy to select any desired recording time.
